He's still adjusting to being a college QB, but he needs to settle in more quickly. It seems like he's really amped up at the start of games.

I am a LOL old and read a preseason SI article ( 20+ years ago ) about who was going to win the Heismann and they had about 12 rules that could help guide you to the eventual winner

One of the rules was to win a player needed to be unarguably the best play and most valuable player on his team &
The player needed to be in Heismann conversation preseason Manziel broke that rule but this article predated JFF

I think Reed is the best player but there is definitely a cast of players that are also very valuable to the teams success
I think to win it a player has to be in the conversation pre season and I don't think Reed was

I don't think many would say Reed is our best player. He was in a few games though.

I don't think I have ever seen a player more underrated by their own fan base. Especially after Notre Dame.

Best is relevant because Depending on Metric you use you will get a different answer

If your metric is who is the best pro-prospect It's not Reed

If it is amazing athletic skills and size
Again it's not Reed

But after watching sub-par QB play get both Sumlin and Jimbo and countless other HC's fired
I do think Reed is the " best " player on this team
