I thought we'd have back to back in Austin
Going forward we weren't going to have both tu & LSU both home or away every year
I am tired of playing Mizzou & SC

Nope. Anyone who was paying attention knew this was going to happen when we made it clear that the first game with the sips would be in College Station in 2024. LSU was due to come to College Station in 2024, and although we played both at home last year, long term, that was not a good idea. So, we play back to back at Baton Rouge in order to fix that problem.

Their new coach might as well hire 2 defensive coordinators, so he can fire 1 of them after that game.

Or she. You never know with LSU these days. I mean they did hire Kelley.
Elmer Dobkins

I believe Kelly has set LSU back a bit, so it might be a while before the new coach gets them back to pre-Kelly era football. A&M should reel of a few consecutive wins against them.

Ags will have to get back-to-back wins in BR

Yea, so stupid. If SEC can screw us, they will.
Nothing looks more foolish than tradition to those who have none.

I knew we would play 4 SEC home games in even years and 5 SEC home games in odd years because we have home games against Power 4 nonconference opponents in even years and road games against Power 4 nonconference opponents in odd years. Playing 4 SEC home games resulted in playing road games at LSU and Missouri in back-to-back years to evenly split the 6 rotating SEC opponents, but I am glad we are not playing a road game at Texas in back-to-back years. This means splitting home and away games with LSU and Texas every year instead of playing road games in both Baton Rouge and Austin every odd year.

That will be so dope to beat them 2 years in a row at home. It may be decades before they even get a chance to do that back to us. And can you imagine how much it will eat at them, year after year, to have to hear about it from us?

Say what you want about Snakey, but a lot of his efforts to hem us in seem to be backfiring.

Yep. And after we whip that ass again, they won't be able to cancel the series like last time. They will have to come to Kyle for another ass whoopin the following year.

Depends on LSU's record at that point in the season. Anyone here think it will be any good?

It is what it is. They needed to get the schedule lined up so we have at least LSU or sip at our house every year, and this was the only way to do it because playing in Austin two years in a row is a non-starter. It should have been done that way to start, but I am happy they are correcting the problem... it doesn't feel like we have a big game at home this year.

Our schedules in 26 and 27 are wild. The look like Oklahoma or Alabama's this year. That just means go win now and then if you win then you have a straight path to a #1 ranking.

Still dumb to fall right back in with the sips. Rivalry weekend with LSU was a good pairing. Cajuns > austinites.

People think we have a ridiculous amount of $ - wait until the exuberance from this season starts to play out across our fan base. I'm pretty sure we will be able to fund whatever we need to fund for next year.

If they were going to screw us they would have made us do Austin back to back, or kept us with LSU and Texas both home or away.

There was a stat going around before the game. Over 80% of SEC games at LSU are at night. The next highest was Bama at something like 52%.

Of our 3 annual opponents, these are the two toughest, so having them balanced home and away makes sense. Also, from a ticket sales standpoint, you don't want to have your home schedule stacked one year, and only so-so the next. We had that back in the SWC days (with Texas and Arkansas home or away the same years) and it really wreaked havoc on ticket sales.

I would rather have kept LSU for "rivalry weekend" because, frankly, that weekend is too crowded with big matchups, and too many students will go home as the resumption of the rivalry becomes less of an event. Would have been better to play the sips in early November or something like that--maybe put it the week after the Cocktail Party.
