We still have a ways to go with this season, Ags, but I'm FINALLY seeing the dog dance on the field. We've talked for decades about how this program is a "sleeping giant" and just needs ~whatever~ to take it to the next level. We've talked about old Indian burial grounds, hexes, etc. It's clear to me that Elko & Moffit provide the right mindset to punch out BAS, and our program is tough as nails! It's exciting to watch us bully our former bullies. Here's what we've accomplished this year thus far:

1. Beating a Top-10 non-conference team on the road since the 1970s. It was at Notre Dame, mystique and all, and our team was highly unphased. I knew we could hold our own when ND's entire team rushed over to our players before the game as they went into the lockerroom; we were not intimidated. We also came up clutch in the moments that mattered most.

2. Ted Cruz was there in South Bend that night, and we took his curse and flushed it down the toilet. TED CRUZ CURSE EXORCISED.

3. Second-half dominance over so many of our opponents to put them away.

4. Winning conference games on the road. Prior teams would've found a way to lose games like Arkansas, but we just kept plugging away.

5. Exorcising the Swamp Kitty beast in Death Valley. We put belt-to-arse on LSU last night, and though our 2nd quarter was a self-inflicted comedy of errors, the 3rd was as dominating as I've ever seen this program in my 30+ years as an Aggie Football fan. We tormented our former bully and put to bed the mystique of "Death Valley at night" BS. F That. This team don't care. It kinda reminds me of going to Lubbock in 2009 and exorcising the Mike Leach/Tech demon, except that this team is immensely better and has significant championship opportunities.

6. Breaking Streaks -- we "haven't beat the Top 10 non conference road opponnent, "haven't beaten LSU in BR since 1994," and "are 8-0 for the first time since....." ALL GONE. Elko's attitude in postgame press conference is SPOT ON. Who cares about the past. We have the present and future, and it's pointing straight up.

7. Second half adjustments and conditioning -- Elko has always been very good at making 2nd half adjustments, and now that he has the reigns, it bleeds over into all phases of the game. It's also clear that the Moffit effect is very, very real. We're a bunch of physical and tough-as-nails beasts, and we play like it.

I though the Jimbo era would end my enthusiasm for Aggie Football. It just wasn't fun, and it only added to the frustration of decades'-worth of underachievement. I was really down, but dammit if this program brought me right back in! Elko has me back in full force, and I am seeing (not talking) product on the field that produces results. Seeing is believing, and I'M SEEING IT.

I'M ALL IN.
