Howdy, my buddies and I are going to the DFW area for the weekend and I was wondering if anyone knew of good places to watch the game? I didn't know if any bars play the game with sound or if we are just better off watching it at home.

Well considering the % of Aggies living in D I bet you can find a game watching, anywhere. It'll be on TV anywhere that has multiple TVs, go where you like and F everyone else at the establishment if they don't want to hear you cheer.

FW isn't Dallas…and most folks who claim they live in Dallas don't.

I wonder if Dallas has an A&M club?

Dallas proper or a city near Dallas? Stan's Blue Note is a classic sports bar, as is Frankie's Downtown if you're interested Dallas proper.

Dallas is such a huge place. Narrowing down the area will be helpful. Happy to give additional suggestions for other areas.

It's a small drive but worth it: G.O.A.T.s Sports Bar in Fairview is phenomenal. The one in Frisco kinda sucks.

If you wanna be truly loud and rambunctious, Green Gator is fun.
For elevated food, plenty of TVs, and a nice patio, check out Union Bear.
Fo Aggie owned establishment with a patio, Kelly's at the Village

Edit to add: GOATs and Kelly's has been known to put on the audio. Cannot speak for the others.

There may be tables left at COSM.

Holy Smokes I completely forgot about the Owl Bar. Great selection of American whisky and bourbons. Likely to have the game sound on, too, if asked.

Depending on the weather, the outdoor area at Katy Trail Outpost in Plano is great for a Saturday of College Football.

Tables are first come first serve, so you might get there early. They just renovated the outdoor area so there is a ton of space and a tv for every game. You won't get the audio, but the food and atmosphere is fantastic.

COSM is a good pick if your willing to spend a little money otherwise River Pig Saloon on lower Greenville is where the Dallas A&M club watch parties are every week and a good option as well

Just get there early if you're going to River Pig. We've been averaging about 300 people per game.

Standard Service is in Heath. If OP is going to be staying in Frisco, that is a HAUL (coming from a guy who used to commute Heath -> Frisco).

OP -- Go to Tight Ends. You'll thank me later.

Stated earlier but II Brothers in Plano (just on the other side of the highway from Frisco) is a good spot to watch with the Frisco club.

But tons of options all over the place.

Remember World Series game 2 starts at 7, so we may not have as many TV's on our game no matter where you go.

I don't think Dallas plays the Aggie games.

Inquiring minds wanna know where you ended up watching the game and if it was worthwhile.

Went to a place called the chill bar in grapevine, it was pretty nice. You could hear the game if you focused and most seats were able to see the screen. Food was about average but the beer was fairly priced. Overall 8/10
