Our AD ain't spending $$$ like that. If statePenn throws the brinks truck at Elko, I seriously doubt trev is getting into a bidding war.

Let him walk. He has a nice paycheck. If he doesn't like it here he can leave. I think he likes it here and feels like he's building something. If he has success he gets paid a lot more by his current contract. I hope our AD doesn't cave to bull**** agent antics.

Smart guy; he knows our track record of giving coaches that haven't proven anything raises/extensions before we decide to fire them two years later and hand over crazy buyouts.

I like what elko is doing here and am optimistic that we'll finish strong, but Penn State would be stupid to make a full court press on elko right now. To be blunt, he hasn't yet accomplished anything. You don't pick a coach based on his mid season ranking, especially after we collapsed from a similar position last year AND 4 out of our 5 remaining conference games are on the road.

That's not Trev's decision to make. Hiring and firing football coaches will always be above the pay grade of AD at Texas A&M.

If we did lose Elko, and I hope we don't, go after Franklin if he still has fire left in him. IDK what happened this year but coach Franklin has proven he can win.

We did give him a fair deal. It's a deal that comes with lots of add-ons should he accomplish certain objectives.

I won't say he would not leave Aggieland, but from where I sit, I don't see a legit case for Elko to leave should he perform as well as well all want him to. If he does, he will be richly rewarded based on what I remember of his contract.

I love elko, but don't give him a cent. Tired of coaches or their agents pulling this c***, just ignore it. We'll find another coach where we found him.
