Hard one for me. I got a degree from there, but really the most liberal school in Texas. Hard for me to support those yahoos.

Or, I guess I should say us yahoos?

I spent some semesters there. Literally nothing "liberal/woke" about anything on campus there including the political science classes. Was exactly the same as A&M, except felt smaller. Maybe you mean the line of bars where you might see some oddly dressed hippies.

University of North Texas ranks 200 out of 257 schools in the 2026 College Free Speech Rankings with a score of 54, an F speech climate grade. Modest penalties tied to cancelled drag shows and the partial removal of artwork last year trimmed its score, and the university still earns a "yellow light" Spotlight rating while lacking both the Chicago Statement and an official commitment to institutional neutrality.

sips rank much better.

I was College of business - not too bad. Libereal Arts, Education, Music... I don't have the words to describe.
If you commuted into UNT for classes, easy to be oblivious to it. Live in Denton- well probably you would have a different opinion.

Denton is a liberal cesspool.

I've never seen so many girl with bull pierced noses

One of my buddies went to UNT way back in the 90s, then later for a masters. He and everyone I know from Denton said that the music college there drew in hippies. We're not necessarily talking about people who were invited to top notch music programs around the country, just kids with indulgent parents who wanted to say they were in a music program; then go play w/ their jam bands and drum circles and *****

Theyre trying to ride high if their starter qb, who never was QB1 in highschool, somehow managed a win tonight. It'd be marketing and funding blitz

I went to Fry street multiple times, unfortunately. I would rate it slightly above a night not doing anything if you've been sick with covid for 2 weeks. Their "bands" arent typically going to be red river but more of liberal do my thang type. It reminds me of deep ellum, in a way, a whole scene but a scene that you might get bad smells frequently yet still occasionally hear a band that is going to be great before they've made it at least mildy big

Their Jazz Studies program is most likely second to none. If you are in the One O'clock Lab Band, you are one of the best musicians in the world.

Im going to give UNT credit...

There's almost no programs that start freshmen without any highschool qb varsity reps

63 points is a lot, but it feels like they're going to get more. Thinking this is *not* the season UNT makes the playoffs.

It might be 70. This is the game you drive home the point. We dont do that.

I took the under at 98. I expected a defensive struggle.

1003 yards of offense in this game.

Not sure I ever went to Fry St, but remember hearing about it. Just looked at it on google streetview, and it looks like most of it got demolished for apartments.

Let me guess... The kid that started in front of him in HS was the coach's son?

About the same number of tackles as there were turnovers.

I'm from Denton. There's three communities in Denton. One is UNT related and tends to be very liberal due to the music school and liberal arts. Another is TWU and you can guess it. The third is the non-university part of Denton, which isn't that different from other mid-size towns in Texas.
