If any of these people took the time to watch his high school tape I don't think they would call him a recruiting "miss". He was never good. Great last name though.

Most sports pundits are critical of Arch, but nearly all of them are still scared of going THIS hard against the guy. Kudos to Yahoo Sports for keeping it real haha.

Texas and their tentacles in the sports media have spent so much time building Arch up that they can't just drop him in the grease now. They have to make it work. The fallout in recruiting will make waves for years to come. Why? It's the Mannings? You don't ruin the manning legacy.

Unfortunately tu is the biggest name in college sports, but it's absolutely crazy that EVERY sports outlet is still talking about them and Arch. And the fact Vegas still has this game as tu -1 means the public is still putting money in on Texas. Laughable

What's sad as several people had eluted to....this was fairly easy to predict. How can you miss out on this?

1) 2A QB who never got close to winning a state championship against lesser competition
2) Texas lost all their good OL to NFL draft.
3) Texas has recruited very poorly at OL in 2024 and 2025 classes.
4) Texas did not address OL NFL draft losses in portal and assumed they could develop their 3 stars.
5) Texas has average WRs at best.
6) Arch is extremely inexperienced and lacks ANY quality playing time against legit teams.

Yet. Texas get ranked #1. And Arch is the #1 Heisman candidate.

What a freaking joke. All these "sport analysts" are no more than click bait football fans.

Texas had issues scoring last year and was 100% dependent on their defense. Their offense only got worse from 2024 to 2025. But...we give em the world beater label. And Sark is proving he cannot win against the big teams.

And what's great? Arch comes back next year and Aark continues to force him into the offense.

I remember getting ripped for saying this on Texags his senior season. I took it a step further and said Georgia, Alabama and a number of schools did their own due diligence and likely communicated to Arch they might consider taking him as a project but would make no guarantees. Also, I believe LT Overton would have actually been the number one overall recruit in Arch's recruiting class but he reclassified to 2022.

A lot of the preseason hype is clickbait but in a bit of a different sense. In the media, the goal is to create outrage because outrage gets A LOT more clicks, views, etc than the truth..Arch and Texas were extremely low hanging fruit for outrage content. MANY media members weren't actually hyping Arch and Texas but instead "hyping" with the sole effort to create outrage and backlash. It worked like a charm. The masses bought it and pushed back on the narrative hard which gave them WAY more clicks than any sane football talk would generate. Media 101

I thought one of the main reasons Arch chose t.u. was because all the Manning's like the offense Sark ran?

Or maybe in hindsight they knew Arch's deficiencies and knew the Hype machine at t.u. could still help them.

i always felt like I was the only one that ever saw his HS highlights. Looked like 2* level play, on a bad day.
