I personally am, he was the guy I hope we would hire and we did, we have saved millions upon millions getting him, and we sit at #5 in the country. I know there's a lot of football to be played but I'm curious of what the rest of the fan base is thinking. If you're a still a skeptic but we take out both LSU and Texas, which is very possible, will you be sold on him?

There was something about him yelling "RUN THE ****ING BALL" at the end of his first game loss against ND that gave me a good feeling about him.

I don't know, do we like winning? Do we like a coach that gets our culture? Do we like a coach that believes defense wins championships?
If the answer is yes, then I think we have the man for the job. I truly believe Elko will bring a championship here. Not sure if it happens this year, but it will in the next two years.

Yes, for now, and optimistic about his potential. TBD whether he's "the man" until I actually see it happen.

When was the last time you could say that about Aggie football? Never been close, and I am class of 99. Ags are close, sucks it didn't happen with a first year coach. For anyone to b**ch about the direction of the program is ridiculous in my opinion.
I think he's doing a great job but it's a performance based business . The trajectory is looking great on all fronts. I absolutely don't get the fast talking snake oil salesman vibe from him.

When we get to the playoffs, then I will commend Elko on his coaching skills.

Extremely. He's an intelligent coach. Compare his post and pre-game pressers to folks like Napier, Dabo, Kelly
Elko is smarter than most. He also gets his guys to play intense and stay resilient.
Also we're 5-0...in the playoff hunt.

In reality we were a running back injury away from the championship game, it appears that Elko may have closed that barn door this year.
Elko is like the Ron Jeremy of College Football Coaches. Based on looks alone, you wouldn't think he'd be an elite guy, but he is.

His coordinator/coaching hires seem good. Long term recruiting plan seems good. Culture seems good.

yes. the team is playing hard the whole game and adjusting - so far, better so than last year. very satisfied.

Happy with Elko so far but will admit he was my third choice behind Lanning and Kiffin. It's been a busy year for me so far so haven't paid any attention to how those other two are doing.
