I'm sure Chris Simms will be mentioned, although he was good IMHO, other than against teams named Oklahoma.

Kyle Allen comes to mind. As does Garret Gilbert (LT) and Max Browne (USC) and Josh Rosen's NFL career.

Perspective. He was the #1 ranked QB for the class of 2014. Underperformed in college. Played in 31 games in the NFL for 5 teams with an overall record of 7-12. He's definitely made more money than I have, but has drastically underperformed the #1 designation. Here is the list of the #1 ranked QB's since 2000, fwiw.
