He sucks relative to his expectations. He has some talent. He's a middling qb. I thought this would be the game that was the definitive assessment of him. He's decidedly ok.

They saw the name but didn't see with their eyes. They wanted to believe and when he went to tu it had to be true. Truly an example of group think.

He's probably starting for Tulane right now had his name been Arch Smith.

So, if he survives this year mentally he may not be too bad. He does show flashes of good play, but only flashes.
His line doesn't help him, he doesn't have the ability to help identify blitzes to change blocking pre snap. The game is moving too fast at the SEC level right now.
Hopefully, he figures it out just enough to stay on the field - it will benefit the Ags if he does, because I don't think he becomes good enough to take them beyond Outback Bowl appearances.

He's still really young. Maybe he just isn't ready yet. Top that off with the unreal hype and expectations, he'd have had to be the second coming of JFF 2012 to live up to all of that. Don't get me wrong, I am glad he's not as advertised!

He does not have it mentally. Such a shame.

His family very purposefully kept him out of competition at camps or against good HS players, so scouts basically just projected his measurables, "mechanics" and name.

He's got potential but the hype has always been overdone.

His current biggest strength is that he's hard to get down. His arm is very inconsistent (and sometimes outright bad) right now.

There were plenty of people who said he was only a 3-star. I think he was the most controversial recruit I've ever seen.

Except for that one "Arch Manning and the Longhorns vs Florida".
