I'll always remember MMST for one reason. Watching the game a couple years ago and striking up a conversation with a sweet older couple who lent my daughters some blankets because it was a little cold at the game. 12th man foundation donates a giant check during a tv timeout. The man and I look at each other, say "wow", and make a joke it was to buy out jimbo. We throttle MSST. By the time we get home at 1:30 in the morning I'm getting texts that jimbo is gone.

I've always understood it that we were mistakenly shipped maroon jerseys by a supplier. We were supposed to be red and white but the powers that be decided there were too many teams with red and white as their colors so we stuck with the maroon and white.

Yes, A&M's colors were originally red and white. Switch to maroon was an accident that stuck. Can't remember what year it happened.

I'm pretty sure we chose maroon to facilitate our play action repertoire.

The teasips specifically switched to burnt orange to help hide the football. They used to be a bright orange. Not quite Tennessee level but nothing "burnt" about it.
