Because very few B1G games would be meaningful each week if only Ohio State, Michigan and Penn State were ranked. There would be zero interest in the league outside the footprint.

I guess. You have to manufacture views. I think USF and Vandy would beat Illinois at this point. Would love to see it

Any team that loses a game by 53 points should automatically be eliminated from the playoffs.

However, any team that loses by 53 will most likely not end up with a record worthy of playoff consideration.
