I sat next to his uncle last year on the way back from the South Carolina game. Turns out that Klubnik's Uncle (an Aggie btw) is good friends with my wife's uncle, so we really hit it off. He told me that Klubnik and Weigman were offered by A&M on the same day. Weigman immediately said "YES", but Klubnik thought that Dabo would help him to develop more than Jimbo would. Hard to say that was a wrong choice, but both of them have certainly struggled to live up to expectations.

Dabo has finished ranked the past 14 years, including 2 National and 9 Conference titles. What would we pay to have that kind of Coach? He could go 5-7 for a decade and Clemson would still happily keep him around, picking fights with Tyler from Spartanburg every week.

Clemson might be this year's Florida State. Well, this year's 2024 FSU.

When you have two natty's under your belt, you have earned the prerogative of going at your own discretion. That assumes. that you do not have a disaster such as a 3-9 or worse. When he wants to leave, he will be given the grace to announce it at his leisure. More than likely, he will be given this year as a mulligan, and told that next year will be his farewell tour.

I wonder if Dabo will have his Jimbo moment towards the end of his FSU tenure.

Clemson is probably going to come back and narrowly win. Dabo isn't going to get fired anytime soon.

Clemson coaches must have gone to a Les Miles seminar on clock management in the off-season.

True, on top of Ags inability to finish in November historically. My point was the early games don't have as much weight as people make them out to be. This is week 4 and if Clemson was as good as advertised, they wouldn't be down 3 scores at home (at the time of the initial post) and LSU signature win is looking watered down.

I didn't understand the Clemson hype at all.

Klubnik might be a good kid, but he's not a great QB. It seems Dabo is going the way of Jimbo.

The game is passing Dabo by before our eyes. He is either going to undergo a significant change in how he views this new era of free agency, or he won't win big again.
