This team is showing fight, so I have an updated set of predictions for the remaining

Our only losses here on would be against LSU and South Carolina. We will beat Texas.

We will end the regular season: 10-2.

A. I'm stil not ready to go all in on 10-2. Now split between 8-4 & 9-3.

B. With either of the above outcomes, I would predict a W against SCe at home.

My highest chance of losses are (in order): LSU, tu, Missouri, Arky.

We can easily stub our toe against any of the remaining teams with the exception of Samford. Going to have to remain tremendously focused throughout the season, and simply want it more than the oppoent we play each week.

I don't think SC is good this year. They beat a VT team that just fired their head coach and got throttled by Vandy at home. That LSU game is a bit of a head scratcher. Its gonna be a tough game but still don't know what they are.

ATM needs to win up through LSU to show they are more than a flash in the pan (and beat up a Notre Dame team that we have no idea how good they actually are).

Auburn, specifically, is a game ATM tends to lose after a big win.

Fayetteville will be a dangerous place for us. Rembert I said it. That will be their super bowl.

This. Their QB is damn good. And ATM defense isn't exactly the Wrecking Crew

If they win up until LSU, I will then admit that ATM is pretty good. Until then….

I'm not changing anything about my prediction. I've seen this movie too many times.

LSU has some meh results. The Clemson win doesn't seem as impressive as it did the day it happened and they haven't dominated since then. I think they are over ranked.

I'm not sold on LSU. They beat a bad Clemson team and only beat Florida by 10 when they had 5 interceptions. The smugness from Kelly makes me want to see them fail even harder. I can't stand that whiny, nasally, weirdo and don't understand how anyone would want to play for him. I imagine most of the doomers around here are just like him in person.

I agree. But for now I put them down as a surprise loss for us.

Doubt SC is the loss. More likely to be Arkie or Mizzou. I still think this is a 9-3 team with a loss to one of those 2 along with road losses to L$U and tu, which will all leave us with a bad taste in our mouths of "what could've been".

The defense should improve, but I'm not sure our offense can get a ton better if Reed can't hit open receivers and doesn't take hits well.

It definitely much more fun football to watch with the explosiveness and I'm glad we finally have HC that understands how to have a modern offense!

USCe got stovepiped by Vandy, at home, and you have them as an L, at Kyle. You serious, Clark?

All these comments about Reed needing to hit open deep receivers….

1) many of you seem to be under appreciating how often we are getting wide open receivers behind the defense. Mario and KC are weapons we have not had in a long time.

2) many of you are overestimating how easy it it to hit them. Reed has thrown some beautiful passes. Rarely is somebody going to be 50% plus on those deep balls.

3) many of you seem to be under appreciating the impact of those near misses even when they don't connect. When the defensive coaches see how beat their guys on the outside are 1-1 they have to switch their coverages, or they are playing with fire. Sure, if Reed NEVET hit one they will quit, but he was not far off. I am sure there were some curse words being shared amongst the defensive coaches when our guys kept getting wide open.

Sounds like a bunch of excuses to me.

Again, I'm not saying he needs to be "elite" (>70% completion). Johnny threw for 68% his Heisman year, and I'm just saying 65% to take the team to the next level. He was under 50% last night, and we did almost lose the game.

He does throw with a lot more conviction this year, so hopefully it's just a time/confidence thing. But if he does start producing at that level while still providing a running threat, watch out!

I feel confident we can go 9-3 with a realistic possibility of 102.
We must win every home game, but we have some tough games at Kyle.
Arkansas is gonna be tough.
Haven't heard much about Missouri this year, but they are ranked.
LSU of course will be tough and our record there is not good.
However, if we continue to improve on both sides of the ball, I think we can win at least two of these games.
By the time we play Texas, they will have at least three losses, if not more
I'm not worried about the sips at this time.

You played poorly and barely beat a questionable Notre Dame team. This team would have to get drastically better to go 6-3 the rest of the way to go 9-3. I think I'll keep my 8-4 prediction and see where they are on November 2nd.

I think ND is actually quite good. Some of this is based on my thoughts of Miami being a great team.

Before ND, I was predicting 8-4. After ND, I am still at 8-4. Not because of anything A&M has shown but because several of the wins I was predicting look to be much better teams (State, Aub, and Arky)

Injuries will best define the remaining games. Stay healthy, we can make the playoffs. An injury or two could make for a rough season.

no way does this team lose to South Carolina!!

the only possible loss I see is at LSU and a hard battle at Texas.

I see 11-1

I'm at 10-2 now. People may not realize what a huge program win beating ND at ND was. So many monkeys off our backs now. If we stay healthy, I think we can even go 11-1.

As honestly as I can say this, we are decoupled from Texas now. We actually have been since the early 1990s. But tradition made many of us think there was some special need for them, much like Texas and OU apparently cannot decouple. There's no need for Texas in my world anymore. Been trying to convince an Aggie buddy of mine that ND last year AND this year was our keystone game. But his tradition clouded his vision. Beating Texas or losing to Texas is not meaningful. Going into SB and knocking off #8 ND was. Like it or hate it, ND has that aura of college football (personally, it's more fable than fact to me). Texas.... we split the series with them since we became a regular co-ed university. Been there, done that, we get no credit for beating them, it's just a grudge game.

That said, I hate to say it, I see Texas as a loss. Yes, I know, Manning was booed, looked un-shockingly bad, blah blah. Sark is still a very good HC and they have talent that remembers how to play big games. That will be tough to win on the road there.

And LSU. Florida is awful this year again. So I was a bit surprised Florida even kept it within 10 pts. But I see LSU as a loss. I think it's more solidly a loss than Texas.

If we do beat Texas, I still think our team has quite a bit to clean up. If we don't I see losses to LSU and one we "should have won" (e.g., Auburn, or Miss State).

Defense needs to get better. Not sure if it's just poor play, missed assignments, and poor tackling or the defensive scheme is such that players have trouble adapting, and we give up big plays.

I do hope these things get fixed. If so, we win 10 or 11 games.

I agree with you. LSU has a great defense, but a mediocre offense. LSU scored just 23 points against Louisiana Tech. A good offense should score at least 40 points against a cupcake team. I think LSU will lose 3 road games to Ole Miss, Alabama, and LSU. Even, their road game at Vanderbilt is looking much tougher.

However, we are playing LSU on the second leg of back-to-back road games. It is very rare to win road games in back-to-back weekends. I think we will split these back-to-back road games with a win over Arkansas and a loss to LSU.

Before Notre Dame, I was predicting 9-3. With a big road win at Notre Dame, I am predicting 10-2 with road losses to LSU and Texas.

Texas scored just 27 points against UTEP, but they have a great defense too. It will be tough to score on that defense and win there.

Hopefully, we will go 7-0 (4-0 SEC) in home games. Before the season, I thought South Carolina would be our toughest home game, but South Carolina got embarrassed by Vanderbilt 31-7 at home. Now, I think Auburn is our toughest home game because they already have a 38-24 road win at Baylor. Thankfully, we will be well rested and coming off a bye week, and Auburn will be coming off a tough road game at Oklahoma.

Before ND I said 6-6. If we beat Auburn I think we go 8-4.

We give up way too many points, and we still face better offenses and QBs than we've played so far.

On offense, we can rely on big plays to Craver only so much. Teams have film now. We have to be able to run the ball better at some point.

With how good our wr's are playing, I would hope that we will see more involvement with the rb passing game. Would love to see us use our rb's out in the flat. We just need to continue to gel on the OL and give Reed the time to throw.
