Nah.

tu has it sewn up. Just like every year.

The sips dont have it sewn up, but they did join it at the easiest time in 20 years.

ASUs ranking was a total fugazi, without scattebo they got nothing.

Speaking of wide open, it was pointed out on the CBS Sports website this weekend that Texas State is now 2-0, and maybe one of the stronger Group of Six contenders.

Wrap your minds around this: Texas State might make the playoffs before we do.

Not surprising at all. TCU and SMU made it already. Even Baylor almost made it a few times.

In hindsight, TAMU might have been better off by staying in the Big 12 lol.

OU over Michigan was the safest upset pick of the week. They were favored.

Miss State is beating Arizona State by 14 right now. This means nothing except that the B12 is still a bad football conference.

Nussmeier is having trouble with the La Tech secondary. LSU might be in for some rough games.

LSU's defense will keep them in every game. They are filthy

They're talented as well as dirty.

They're ripping off children's hospitals again??

LSU can't run the ball. That's a problem for them imo. Their defense looks good enough to keep them in games tho.

Against one of the best DLs in country, their starter averaged 4.4 and backup 8.7 per carry

Perhaps a tad premature to proclaim LSU "can't run the ball"

108 yards rushing for the game. Perhaps it is too early to say they can't run the ball but it has been a recurring theme for them going back to last yr

128 yds rushing vs La Tech on 32 attempts - 3.9 ypc

And their offense didn't exactly light it up against La Tech either. They only had 10 points well into the 3rd quarter.

I am near certain the SEC is not 'Wide Open' for the Florida Gators.

Haven't lost a conference game yet .

From what I have seen so far:

  • Arch isn't the guy, the line struggles at times pushing downfield, so there's less of a running game to take the pressure off the passing game.
  • LSU looks the part, but Clemson remains to be seen if they are a good team or not
  • GA's QB play is suspect. He's big and can move, but teams are going to pressure him more and more to prove he can move the ball in the air and make the right reads
  • AL is trash
  • OU looked good at home against a freshman QB that wasn't a threat to move the ball in the air. The OU D-line is great against the run, and looked good against a team that could only run the ball.
  • FL looks to have been exposed, but we'll see

Oklahoma looked good
Auburn looked good
LSU looked good
South Carolina looked good
Vandy looked good
Ole Miss has one SEC win so that's something
I forgot MSST they looked good

I think that's it. Everyone else has either a loss or hasn't played anyone significant so it's hard to say.

Oh yea, I agree UF looked terrible, but I think the media is too quick throwing Bama in the trash. They will be good when they settle in.

LSU lost starting C Braelin Moore to a high ankle sprain on the first play vs LaTech and his backup struggled. Moore will return eventually but he was easily their best OL and a big reason for the running game's success against Clemson.

Their OL is mostly all new starters …. Correct?

OP, Haven't you heard? Horns have the greatest QB in history.

Obviously, they will dominate the SEC and win a NC after ESPN gives him the Heisman.

LT is 1st yr starter, LG has been a combination of players who played sparingly last year, C is a transfer who started last year(backup is last yrs starter), RG is transfer who started last year, LT is 1st year starter.

There are legitimately 7-8 schools that could win the SEC this year based on what we've seen so far. It's safe to assume Florida isn't one of them.

So 5 new starters for LSU on the OL which is kind of my point here. It's not that they aren't talented , it's that they haven't played together.

Alabama and Texas lost the first week. Florida lost to USF, Georgia didn't look good against Austin Peay, LSU's offense is struggling right now against LA Tech to put up points. Ole Miss escaped Kentucky but their starting QB was injured. It seems like there is a lack of a clear favorite at this point unlike any year since we've been in the conference.

ESiPN will see to it that the sips win it all.
