My wife and I will be in Waikiki next weekend, and I'm looking for any recommendations for the best place to hang out with some Ags and watch the game.

Any recs or advice greatly appreciated. Gig 'em!!

My rec would be don't watch the game and enjoy Hawaii.

There's a Hawaii Aggie club that gets together for game watching.

A&M Club used to meet up and watch games at Giovanni Pastrami's on Lewers St.

This was almost a decade ago but looked and the place is still open.

Why, i've watched numerous games from hawaii. Only issue is the 5 hour difference. Own time in Maui and Hilton Hawaiian Village, so we're in Hawaii yearly.

A few things on this:

I have customers there, and it's pretty easy/cheap to get a companion ticket for my wife so this isn't like our big vacation or first/only time in HI.

Game starts around late lunch time there, so we'd be stopping somewhere for food and beverages anyway. Staying an extra hour or two to catch the game isn't going to significantly eat into our trip.

I was assuming there is an "Aggie bar" or one that the local A&M club meets at for games, and that would be part of enjoying Hawaii for me. Meeting Ags in other parts of the world and taking in a game with them is something that is a unique experience to each place.

Per FB, looks like Oahu A&M Club is meeting like 45 min drive from us, so maybe we'll walk over and check out Giovanni Pastrami. Thanks ktown, appreciate the info. Worst case, Monkeypod is just down the way from there, and they've got a great view.

Can you make it to Rome instead?
It's best to watch the games from there.

Giovanis is good, there's also a Maui Brewing right by you on Kalakaua. Most the sports bars are hit or miss in that area but you're in a hot spot. Closer you get to the water, less tv's there are. If UH is playing, every tv will be on it. Since we stay at HHV, we usually just go to the hotel bar at Tropics or the Tapa bar. Diamond is good, but it's off the beaten path. I haven't been to pitch or sky yet.
