Every since i got to work this morning the Sip nuts have done nothing but come up with excuses, and blame his teammates for his performance... just thought it is pretty funny...

OP, I'd tap the brakes a bit. t.u. played tOSU. On the road. Meanwhile, we muddled through a W at home against mighty utsa. Arch being "bad" doesn't make us good. Let's get a meaningful win before we start spiking the football on t.u.'s terrible season.
USAToday did a re-rank of all FBS teams and neither we nor UTSA budged…Jawn Dough said:
That's on same level as Aggies being nitpicky and overly critical about Reed after a good performance.

Just watched his interview and my thoughts and predictions:
First, anyone that thought he was a perfect 5-star coming out of HS doesn't know football. Kid was a legit 4-star but not a 5-start in terms of his performance and ability to get his 2A private catholic team into a state championship.
1) He is a well raised, very humble and respectable individual. I respect everything about him and his family other than their poor choice to play at Texas.
2) He is super young and shows a bit of his immaturity. Don't get me wrong, he interviewed well and handled it very well. I just didn't realize how very young he is without much of a strong, confident demeanor that more veteran players have. Just an observation.
3) For the kid to live up to the hype, he absolutely needs to play for Texas as a starter for 2 full seaons, maybe 3. This year, he isn't going to do anything out of the ordinary and he isn't even close to a top SEC QB. Kid has always had the red carpet rolled out. Since the day he was able to pick-up that Nerf football. He has NOT faced any adversity in his life and that was clear as day against OSU. He needs a full year in the SEC to develop into one of the top 5 QBs in the SEC.
4) Marcel Reed is far, far, far ahead of him in terms of his development.
I hope Texas fans get restless and talks about QB #2 comes into serious consideration. Pure drama within the team that ruins the culture.
I hope Arch is successful long-term (with disappointing college statistics) and follows more in Eli's footsteps. Develops in the NFL to maintain the Manning name and into the Hall of Fame. Again, great kid, great family. Just poor choice of a team and coach to play under.
He was something awful against OSU. He looked clueless and scared to death. In 4th, he improved but OSU had moved to prevent and was allowing the short throws. I'm sure he will do well against lesser competition but I can't wait to play them in Austin. Kid will have SEC PTSD by then.....

There's only one thing worse than a winning sip and that's a losing sip!

Their QB hit more dirt than hands. Nothing to tap the breaks about. Plays were there. He failed COMPLETELY ON HIS OWN.
I'm sorry telling the truth about a terrible QB makes you uneasy. Grow a pear.
