Florida State freshman linebacker Ethan Pritchard was shot Sunday night and is in critical but stable condition in intensive care at a Tallahassee-area hospital, the school said Monday.

According to the Gadsden County Sheriff's Office, Pritchard was in a vehicle outside an apartment building when the shooting happened Sunday night in Havana, Florida, which is about 16 miles from Tallahassee, near the Georgia state line.

An investigation into the shooting is ongoing.

I'm sure everything will come out, but I find myself wondering what a freshman from the Orlando area was doing in the middle of BFE on a Sunday night. Regardless, I hope the doctors are able to save him.

Foxnews reported that Ethan was at home visiting family when he was shot.
I don't need your help or your pity. I already have a mother and a therapist. That's enough torture, even for me

But it's near where he goes to college. You never went 16 miles from College Station?

Maybe his cousin lives in Havana. Or his uncle. Or his Grandparents.

I know you're trying to imply that he was up to no good. Could be true but who knows.

I don't have any idea what he was up to, but everything that comes to mind isn't good. As I wrote earlier, I'm sure the circumstances around the shooting will surface.

What is this, the politically correct board now? A college football player got shot at an apartment complex that wasn't his on the outskirts of town, and we have people calling others 'insensitive' for drawing conclusions? Good grief some people are insufferable. I give it a 98.7% chance it was one of these two situations, woman issues, drugs, and I know nothing of the kid, the town, or the situation. It's a terrible tragedy for the kid and his family, sorry for them. I did lots of dumb **** in college, but it didn't lead to shootings. Those are situations the kids put the,selves into by getting involved where that's a known outcome. Play stupid games, win stupid prizes.

Well ... if it was someone from Alabama ... we can assume that it wasn't Ty Simpson. Kid could barely hit the broad side of a barn on Saturday,
