My mom would like to go to her first-ever A&M game. She never cam when I was a student. She loves the band. My great-nephew, her great-grandson, is a sophomore in HS and has expressed an interest in going to A&M and joining the band. They have a very close relationship (she lives with their family… well, they live with her). I would really like to make this happen.

The problem is that my mom is 75 years old. She can still walk but she is SLOW and I don't think she can walk across campus. She would probably have a hard time with the heat in of a summer game.

Any suggestions on how to get my elderly mother to an A&M game that won't kill her? I'd need a minimum of three tickets, but ideally 4-7. UTSA may be a good game since it's at 6 and tickets are probably available. She isn't handicapped… does the school make any accommodations for the elderly?

I've got a pair of ADA seats for sale + one ticket left in the row right below that pair. You don't have to be handicapped to sit in the seats and these are chairback seats sitting on the concourse which will likely be easier for her so she doesn't have to go up and down stairs.

Also have a parking pass in Koldus/UCG right next to the stadium that I can toss in.

She is not truly handicapped. Just old.

Get tickets for the second half of the season.

We will probably lose at that time of year, but the heat will be tolerable for her

Rent a wheelchair from a drug store, I've done that for my elderly father.

Rent a wheel chair for granny and go to the Samford game.

That's actually a pretty good idea. I didn't know we played them in November.

Last home game for the seniors so the FTAB halftime show should be pretty cool.

I got tickets right off the ramp for when my Dad can come with and he's 75 too. If you're on the south endzone pay attention to the portals and the rows right next to exits that way you don't have to mess with stairs. I personally also have knee issues so I take the Elevators early to avoid the lines that build up.

If you can't park on campus I highly recommend the Downtown Bryan buses. They drop right at the rear of the MSC and you can stop and get refreshed before heading to the stadium. Plus side is if she wants to leave after halftime, they run they whole game.

Hey man! I don't think people realize just how much of a catch my mom used to tell me I was!

Please tell her to turn back now to avoid all the heartbreak and confusion trying to understand why such a grand, prosperous university cannot win anything of football significance in the modern era. Set her up with lots of band performances and Johnny "They still haven't built his statue?????" Football highlights.

We have rules about wives. Daughters, even. The contract I signed did not mention mothers.

That's the game I am planning to take the family to. Much cooler weather and the tickets will more than likely be easier to come by since by that time we usually have 3+ losses.
