Or…and hear me out on this…we've seen this same song and dance for decades and just waiting for things to end up different before we change our tune.

We haven't seen the potential fir this many drafted in a long time.

We should see at least 7 drafted and probably double digits.

Nahhhh. I'd be ecstatic if our team was a national contender.

Problem is that history doesn't bode well for us, and even if we have the odd season of being better than average, we have consistently shown that we cannot sustain that level of success. In any major sport, not just football.

Imagine being angry at fans because they're tired of 30 years of mediocrity and disappointment with absolutely zero signs this year will be anything more than the usual 8-4.

Maybe try holding the AD accountable instead of crying that the fans didn't believe in the team enough. They're hired athletes, not pixies from neverland

Do what you need to do to pump up your product before the season, but anybody who knows this rosters can see there aren't double digit '26 draft selections on it.

Holding the AD accountable just means more money spent not better outcomes. They're rarely even former top-level football players though Trev and John David obviously were.

You can't push a string.

Now does that mean Elko is a proven failure? No. But he isn't Urban or Nick, either. Will he be that good? We might know more this year. But your virtue signaling to other internet tough guys is doing absolutely nothing other than making it clear you're angry. You have no accountability, no control, and your best idea is to fire more people.

Mike Elko is right in saying that winning the SEC typically means having around 13 players drafted: SEC Champion Georgia had 13 players drafted, and SEC Champisnhip Game runner-up Texas had 12 players drafted. However, we had just 3 players drafted. I hope we double that number in the next NFL draft.

Our schedule is very unbalanced with 3 straight SEC home games against Auburn on 9/27, Mississippi State on 10/4, and Florida on 10/11 before a stretch of 3 straight SEC road games against Arkansas on 10/18, LSU on 10/25, and Missouri on 11/8 in a span of 4 weeks. Realistically, I think we have a floor of 7-5 (6-1 home and 1-4 away) and a ceiling of 10-2 (7-0 home and 3-2 away), and I am predicting 9-3 (7-0 home and 2-3 away) with losses to Notre Dame, LSU, and Texas. But I won't be surprised if we lose those 3 big road games against top 10 teams and 1 or 2 additional games against Florida (home), Arkansas (away), Missouri (away), or South Carolina (home). If we go 8-4 (5-3 SEC) with at least one November SEC win, I hope we win our bowl game to finish 9-4 (5-3 SEC), which would be a much better finish than ending last season with 4 consecutive losses to Power 4 opponents.

Did we **** the bed? It was year 1 of a brand new staff and the qb who many national pundits were speculating would be a 1st round NFL draft pick had major mental issues. And we still did well enough to play for the SECCG in the final game of the year, even though we lost our bell cow RB 3 games prior to that.

As for coordinator accountability, he literally is taking over the defense himself this season.

Some of yall just choose to live in an alternate reality.
