A nonconference game against one of those four every yr would be cool but not the same imo as Arky , LSU , Auburn , Bama , tu , Tennessee, Florida , Georgia , Ole Miss, OU , etc pretty much every yr. Different strokes for different folks I suppose .

SEC protection of their bluebloods. Just another reason to stand up for ourselves. The TAMU brand would be welcomed elsewhere. We don't need the SEC to become a top tier product. Their backroom deals need to be exposed and the league office needs to be held accountable.

Not only is this silly, and are we not going anywhere. but do you understand how bad the optics would be to bolt the sec now for another conference? On the PR front Texas would spin it like we ran away scared and it would be impossible to overcome that.

They've already tried that, and it didn't work.

After they spent years accusing us of running away from them, they followed us.
are you saying us leaving would not be running away?

If we stick with 8, then our LSU game would move back to Thanksgiving week.

That would be great

if Texas is in the sec, we should always play Texas on thanksgiving. Just like we are supposed to. Plain and simple

Take aways… if SC QB has a Heisman like year, their schedule is favorable.

If MSU bulldogs win more than 3 SEC games, their coach will have done one hell of a job.

Tennessee is a sleeper flying under the radar.

tu's schedule is laughable. Their poor ticketholders have an awful slate of home games to attend, except for one game of course.

A lot of optimistic talk about enforcement "with teeth" of the new riules, agreement, and process. However, no one explained how enforcement was going to be any different than in the past. If there are agreements and rules, someone (many) is still going to be cheating or circumventing the rules.

SEC media days are not as entertaining or informational as they once were.

THE FIGHTIN' TEXAS AGGIES WIIL BE THE SEC CHAMPIONS!!

So us leaving and the SEC adding Clemson is sure going to show that bad bad SEC. They'd laugh their asses off.

Pretty sure he's talking about an 8 game schedule with only 1 permanent game every year.

They can call it whatever they want. A&M doesn't need t.u, but t.u sure needs A&M and its very evident. A&M should be doing what's best for A&M. Being in the same conference is a terrible idea. Playing against each other is a terrible idea. The proof is in the pudding.

Though it won't happen. I wish like hell we would go to the Big10

No it wouldn't tu would claim OU as their only 1 true rival.

Correct

They have shown two models to get everyone to play home/away in 4 a year period.

9 SEC games, 3 permanent games and rotate the other 12 teams, 6 every two years.
8 SEC games, 1 permanent game and rotate the other 14 teams, 7 every two years.

Now I don't think this is ever going to happen there are to many teams such as Bama, Vols, Auburn that want at least two games to occur every year. It is the reason the above 8 game schedule did not already happen.

I'm going to disagree. Hate them but love the game and think it's a great rivalry. But to each their own

I'd honestly be more than fine not playing tu every season

I prefer the 7-1 schedule to the 6-3

This. Playing your rival is part of what makes college football fun.
