Heard that Bucky is encouraging him to come to A&M as well and might get some action with the basketball team.

I wish this was the beginning to an Iowa pipeline for OL. Or just the entire mid-west for that matter.

You were probably a huge fan of his when he was a recruit and then committed to the Ags

Why is everyone saying this? You want a Mike Evans type from this kid, not a Luke Joekel.

He's 6'7" 220 or 230. Line him up out wide and throw it to the corner.

He's 20 pounds, at minimum, underweight for the TE position in the SEC. If hes actually 6'7 instead of his listed 6'6 probably 25lbs

I went to high school with a kid who played TE for a major power 5 program. He was rail thin in high school to the extent that it confused a lot of us about why he was being recruited to the extent that he was. One year into college, he was massive. He played four years, tried to get on a team in the NFL and then went on with his life. After about a year out of football, he had shrunk back down to closer to the size we knew him. I think a lot of these programs are pretty good at evaluating frame and projecting out what they'll look like after the nutrition and S&C teams are done with them. I suspect that's the case here.

Coolest part of marrying a girl from Iowa is that when a kid from Iowa commits to A&M and your kids go to the high school he goes to. We have seen Evan warm up for high school basketball games before and always said a quiet gig em to him. Seems like a great kid and will be fun to follow with my boys going to Waukee.

Which kind of proves the guys point. He doesn't need to do anything crazy to get 20-25 pounds. That will come easily with that frame. He doesn't need to overeat bbq or Mexican food. Just a very standard collegiate weight room and diet.

I agree. But look at what Klein is recruiting. He has three tight ends in this years class. You are assuming he is recruiting all these kids to play a traditional TE role.

I think Klein is recruiting a bunch big athletic guys so he can run an offense similar to what he ran at KState.
