Just curious, what are the thoughts on Eli? I've watched his highlight reel and am kind of impressed with his scrappiness. Hs got good size, not afraid to run and does have some moves. He shows he's aways looking down field and throws seemingly accurate on the run. I'm not pushing him to take over one of the top three spots yet, but I think he can play.

He's what the zoo hates. Hard working, determined, tough, a leader.

But he doesn't have enough stars for most of them to care about.

He definitely deserves a chance. No idea what system they ran in high school, bit his stats tell a story of accuracy. Also being a punter who can kick the ball 70 yards also speaks volume about his strength and athleticism.

He can play.

He's very accurate with the ball and has arm talent. A good athlete as well. He's had some injuries, so his development may be somewhat delayed.

It wouldn't surprise me if he competed for the top spot or became the 1st back up at some point in his career.

Let's see how he grows into the college level, he's a guy that's got a chance.

LOL. Reed won't even be starting by next season (2026) most likely, especially if 2026-recruit/commit QB Casuga enrolls early or if Eli makes a big enough jump to hold off Casuga. If Reed performs like he did this year, he'll be benched before this season is even over. He was terrible passing the ball.

I think there is a good chance your 2026 prediction is correct but it will be between Casuga and O'Neil. Not sure Marcos plays a factor. Going from no offers to SEC starter is less than 2 years would be a generational talent.

Respectfully I disagree. I think it's Reed's job til he's done with his eligibility if he simply repeats or slightly improves on his year last year. Sure he didn't light it up, but he was not terrible passing the ball, and he brings a skillset that very much fits what Klein wants to do on offense. I suppose it's possible that he is encouraged to transfer out if Casuga really turns out to be a stud, but there's no way of knowing that.

I personally don't think Morcos will ever play a meaningful snap in an Aggie uniform. That's not a shot at the guy, it's just the way I think it'll play out. Low rated recruit that was brought in out of necessity, saw an opportunity to upgrade from Tulsa to an SEC program, and took it. I think he'll be here for a year or two then transfer.

Also, saying Reed lost 5 games in a row is just you not liking the kid. He certainly wasn't the reason we lost those games.

We always prefer QB2 here at TexAgs. Didn't you hear?!?
