I think we will be a better looking team this year. It's just the tough schedule that makes it hard to have any optimism or high expectations.

York and Reed-Adams are not top 2 at their positions in all of college football. That is some straight up PFF propaganda. Laughable.

Reed Adams isnt even the best guard on the team lol much less one of the best in the nation. He's a walking penalty and struggles with blitzes in pass pro. And how is a linebacker that can't even play on 3rd downs cause he cant cover any offensive threat in the conference even considered. We struggles to stop the run and that was with 3 NFL Draft early round draft picks plugging up gaps for York, he's slow and someone no OC's worries about. It seems every offseason PFF loves us. And no matter how many real analysts say to ignore PFF some fan bases seem to eat it up.

How is a guy wearing an NC State uniform a returning player or why could they not find a picture of him in an Aggie uniform?

It was just posted yesterday that Brian Kelly, thinks he's got more talent this season than he ever has over at LSU. Florida did really well in the offseason with recruiting and thr portal. Their QB is on Heisman alert status.

t.u returns one of the best prospects at the most important positions in football with Manning. UGA and BAMA have a lot more talent than we do. My Auburn friend has said "I think we have more talent than yall do this year but I predict yall will beat us because its a road game"

Then there is our schedule where the majority of our toughest games are on the road. We had no answer for USCe QB, a young player. That program is hot right now. Arkansas in Arkansas? We ALWAYS have more talent than they do yet almost every game goes to the last possession and those were all neutral site games in Texas

For the life of me, I dont know why some of our fans think we're going to beat Notre Dame on the road. Their super fan that post here with all the information he has made it clear that Notre Dame is a playoff contender and I believe him. Their strength is at offensive line. They are coached well too.

Realistically, we will win 6 or 7 games this year.

While most all of that is true, you can't discount what another year of experience means at this level.
Jimbo's best set of maroon goons looked great that Orange Bowl season, but those same guys were average the year before.
And if we can get similar type of OLine production this year, we should exceed 6-7 wins.
Not saying playoffs, just saying better than 6-7 wins.

Might simply be because he hasn't worn one yet….
So then its either photoshop, or a practice jersey?

And as one poster said, if we get good OL production like expected, I say we get more than 7 wins.

LSU and Auburn are paper tigers to me at the moment until they prove otherwise. They are stacked on paper, but they've gotta prove it.

Very reasonable points. Although about ND, I think they take a step down as well. Gonna be tough to replicate when they lost their DC and LB coaches. Also lost some All Americans on defense. Not saying we will win that game, but I expect it to be close going either way.

So funny how koolaide seeps in...starts slowly with an opinion here or there, Texags staff will add some more drops to it and bit more food dye with a dribble post on a social platform, and then it gains traction and steam here or there and now we are stacked and everyone expects 10 wins on this board.

J/K...do think we are in better shape going into next year "IF" Moss is truly 100% and shows no issues from the injury (mentally nor physically) AND if Reed can advance as a throwing QB (and OL protects him) AND DL has new players step up with some semblance of serviceable depth so we don't fade to black in the 4th Qtr. and can't generate a pass rush.

We shall see.

It's not going to work this year. I think most Aggie fans can see how mediocre this team is going to be. We also know the QB's capability, therefore there's no wildcard factor like there is when a new QB comes in, (Like in Manziels first year when the consensus before the season was that we were going to be ok, but get our heads kicked in with a SEC schedule).

Love York and who he is for this team. But He may not be a top 2 LB in the state of Tx, let alone the conference, let alone all of CFB…

ND's DC last year wasn't the LB coach fyi. He's still there. I think A&M's experience and ND's lack of experience at QB could be an X factor in the game. Athletic QB's make me nervous as an ND/football fan. Riley Leonard made a lot of plays for ND last year against A&M. Unfortunately for A&M, ND has an early bye before the game not that it makes a huge difference.

ND -7 sounds about right to me.
