Probably a Title IX artifact. But we do have national championships in several women's sports, including basketball, and zero in baseball…and worse than that our best baseball coach defected to the Sheeple's Republic of Austin…

Pretty sure thats settlement payouts to former athletes from 2016-2024. Not current payroll.

This report highlights the fallacy of college athletics being a self-sufficient business, as all the college commentators would have us believe.

College athletes should be extremely thankful and gracious to all those who provide them an opportunity to fulfill their dreams of becoming a professional in their chosen sport someday.

He's borrowing from historical awareness of the Standard Oil decision by SCOTUS requiring the trust to be dismantled in 1911. It isn't a good presentation but he is drawing parallels to the NCAA and decisions against them got anti-trust violations. The target audience appears to be the Faculty Senate.
