10/4 Mississippi State --- No Cowbells = WIN

10/11 Florida --- at Home ... close WIN

10/18 @ Arkansas --- WIN. Possibly OT.

10/25 @ LSU --- This is the tough one for us. Toss-Up. Leaning towards a W, but time might run out.

11/8 @ Missouri --- WIN charlatans shall be exposed.

11/15 South Carolina --- Payback. WIN

11/22 SamfordTBA --- Tune-Up. 45pt WIN

11/28 @ Texas --- Going to be honest here. Could be an L. But lets see how Klein has this offense

humming by then.

OVERALL --- 11-1 or 10-2

SEC Championship Game - Rematch against TX. W or L doesn't matter. We are in the playoffs either way.

Little luck, few good bounces and we make it to Final 4, and NC Game.

We jumped to 5-0, Reed looks like heisman candidate and running game is ground & pound. The board starts predicting who we play in the playoffs. This is finally our year.

Then we have an embarrassing loss against florida. Everyone is stunned. Maybe we bounced back and beat arky, but end up dropping 4 of the remaining games.

I have on my historical trend calendar that sunshine pumping and Koolaird drinking starts the 3rd week of June, and intensive starting 2nd week in August. Until then, there may only be a scattering of sunshine and koolaid.

8-4 would be an encouraging year 2 for Elko & co.

I am just excited thinking that Elko has been pissed at the defensive performances for the past 9 months. Likely longer.
Him at the helm of the defense will look vastly better. I'm still realistic and know there is still a long, long way to go before we are where we as fans would like our program to be.
But I think we take a positive step this year. It may be a small step, but a step forward none0theless.

Honestly, I agree with you on all but the South Bend point, and I generally consider myself slightly more of a pumper than a pot banger. LSU is probably our worst matchup of the year, everybody in the conference seemed to lose at least one headscratcher last year, and Vegas projections are right around 8-4 across the board. I could see an argument for Notre Dame missing a step early in the year after losing so much talent, but even that is just a chance.

Acting like summer time recruiting commitments equals November wins for us (they don't)

Bingo. People going nuts b/c not yet HS seniors say they are committed to A&M. A lot of time until signing day. Even longer time until some of those players make it on campus, let alone see the field.

And none of that impacts our current roster or coaching staff.

I am feeling like the "wait and see" folks are dominating the board (basically by standing by with their arms folded while tapping their feet).

Now... if we somehow upset the Irish on the road... then the dam holding back any unearned optimism will brake wide open - and the deluge of Marroon Kool-aid will flow

And yet we ranked #15 in the Learfield Director's Cup. While that's not terrific, it's not horrific either. The forecast is not clear and sunny but it's not stormy either. Elko is in his 2nd year with little to no player or staff exodus. Bucky Ball is here. School's out on WBB and baseball but there is potential. Track is back. Softball will be hungry for redemption. Tennis and golf and others have no reason not to continue to excel. I have no problem with wrestling with the glass being half full or empty but too many of y'all don't even have a glass.
