I just don't see this working out very well for Myles unless Cleveland continues with their dumpster fire trade ways.

Because of the wreckage left behind from the D Watson trade, they really need a huge haul from trading Myles.

Any Super Bowl contending team is too well run to make that kind of a trade for one player.

This is the kind of "shiny trinket" type deal that Jerruh would make though.

Problem is that Browns can't really trade him till after the draft or at least the trade can't be consummated till post June 1 otherwise they have a dead cap hit plus loss of around $16M. They are already over the cap at the moment so taking salary back from another team is probably not going to happen so you are looking at draft capital.

Essentially, if the Browns do come to the decision to deal Myles they will then be setting off a chain reaction to sell the farm and rebuild again. Which, in my mind, is the only option. They are in purgatory (Rightfully so) with Watson's contract and need younger assets moving forward. Their team is aging and they missed their window to utilize their great roster.

Kick start the rebuild because Watson and his contract are un-tradeable and he is injured and won't play next year so you are likely picking top 5 again. Unless they can figure out a way to void his contract then they are stuck rebuilding. Moves I'd make if I had the reigns.

#2 pick - Either draft Best Player Available (Abdul Carter, Travis Hunter or Will Johnson) or trade back and acquire an additional 1st plus or multiple 1sts. Don't take Cam Ward or Shedeur, let a team like the raiders or whoever give you the most you can get and take a chance on the next tier like Dart, Ewers, Milroe, Gabriel, etc (If available) in the 2nd round. No one can come in and save this team so just build it and suffer as per usual and hope that next years QB class is amazing. Then you have the draft pick ammo in case you need to move up with potential other trades or trading this years #2 pick.

Myles Garrett - two 1sts plus (Khalil Mack deal is closest comp)

Denzel Ward - 1st or 2nd.

You don't need multiple 1st in 2025. You would need them spread out due to contracts. 2025 & 2026 would be fine. Then you have two 1sts (Your own and the other teams) in the next two drafts. Possibly more if you decided to trade the 2nd overall pick this year to a QB needy team like Raiders etc. or you end up trading other pieces to kickstart the rebuild.
