After Michigan lost to App St in 2007, they had an attendance of 109k the next week in a lopsided 39-7 loss to Oregon.

Michigan went on to have a 9-4, 3-9, 5-7 and 7-6 seasons after the App St loss. Avg home game attendance for those seasons was 110k (2007), 108k (2008), 109k (2009), 112k (2010).

Michigan's lowest avg home game attendance since 2000 was 105k in 2014

They fund their athletic department more effectively, too.
