He currently is in Lubbock and many insiders say he will be returning to their football team. I guess he didn't like it in college station.

Sounds like he will have to wait until April to make it official since the transfer portal is closed.

I can imagine the hired nil players have a hard time connecting with their new teammates. Not only players are gonna be jealous of playing time, but now all the (above board) money thrown at them too. Add in any additional special accommodations for a player and it's probably even worse

Simply more evidence that NIL was completely mishandled and some restrictions/guidelines should have been put in place. Unfortunately it is a free for all and players are in complete control with schools/donors just chasing them around.

I couldn't care less. This is a run first coordinator.

I think this is maybe the most underrated aspect of it all. Micah Hudson has the stars out of HS, but no real productivity in college to speak of. I can't say for sure what our guys on campus look like from a production standpoint comparatively, but say we have a guy who we don't consider a valuable WR, and he's getting pittance in NIL, but has a helluva lot more production than Hudson, who is get 10x+ more than him, I'm sure there is some serious resentment for a guy who has effectively done nothing but getting paid like an NFL player to take your position.

We need a WR and DT. And we needed a pass catching TE. That pick up doesn't preclude us from what we need.

This board is so insufferable sometimes. Yes, we need a DT. Ideally 2 more DL. But that doesn't mean it wouldn't be a good thing if we picked up a WR, which we also need, or that we picked up a receiving TE threat, which we also need.

Niblack will help our passing attack. Another outside WR would also do wonders for it. But it needs to be a higher quality guy and not just a body. We have bodies.

We're probably a good 3 deep at Edge, DE, and DT but lack numbers at NT. Don't you think?

I don't think any position will be off limits this spring if the right guy is there. So if an elite DE comes available, you may push for him.

But from a true need standpoint, DE and 3 tech are in better shape than nose and aren't necessarily a "need". Getting a guy that can play both nose and 3 tech as a back up or ideally starter would be priority one on defense.

Heard a rumor that he got into a fight or altercation with our QB while he was down here. Does anyone have any insight?
