Syracuse is all offense, no defense. They didn't win because of him.Detmersdislocatedshoulder said:
looks like robinson and the new staff at syracuse are off to a great start.

I mostly agree. But. No one could have predicted Weigman's meltdown, and switching to your inexperienced backup midway through the season is a recipe for disaster for any staff. The injuries toward the end of the season were also a bitter pill for a first year staff that hasn't had time to build depth.gunan01 said:
This was a complete failure of a season. Lots of reasons for that in my opinion. Picking the wrong starting QB at the start of the year, complete meltdown by defense (esp "star" defensive players) near end of year, extremely poor coaching as the season went along, etc. A sign of a great coach is getting the team to play BETTER as the season rolls along so you're peaking at the end, and that definitely did not happen.
But the bottom line remains.....this was a complete failure of a season. Finishing unranked after starting 7-1 is abhorrent. Losing to an Auburn team that didn't make a bowl, and to USC in the bowl game after being up 24-7 vs their JV squad is Mickey Mouse stuff.
Here's to hoping we don't have to make threads like this anymore.
I thought we finished beating Oklahoma?W said:
and the Ags started the season unranked in 2012
didn't break into the poll until week 6
and of course finished the year with a win over the national champs (13-1 Alabama)
And #4 lost to #6 twice. So how does that make sense to the pollsters?W said:

So our qb gets no blame for losing 4 straight games? He almost lost to Arkansas and Bowling Green too. Lolgunan01 said:

Yes...maybe like 48th or so. As others have pointed out, this was a complete failure of a season with our HC admitting he can't coach defense after the USC loss.Southlake said:
You guys don't actually think we deserve to be ranked, do you??

Silver lining is that the Ags are the absolute best at that! Championship level.Muy said:
Ags still doing less with more than anyone else
But you are just saying things. Smash mouth posting doesn't mean anything..:rickslatts said:
We would beat many of the teams on that list by multiple touchdowns. Deion, Memphis, Unlv, Syracuse, etc.
Lost the best running back in the nation. That changed our offense. We will be a sleeper next year.
