ND. I don't know why. Two highly objectionable fan bases

I honestly don't care, I'm just glad the sips aren't playing. But if I have to pick I'll go with ND. They're among two of the largest t-shirt fan bases that exist. I've never been to a game in South Bend but I have been to a game in Columbus, and their fans are just awful to the opposing fan base, probably the worst I've seen and I had no rooting interest in the game I went to. They're worse than LSU fans IMO and I know a lot of folks here have had bad experiences in Baton Rouge. It would also be fun to see ND win it after Brian Kelly left for LSU because I flat out don't like him and I do think Marcus Freeman is a better coach.

I had actually forgotten about this game til I saw a commercial for it last night. Pulling for Notre Dame.

I hate them both, always have. But I'll take ND, they're the lesser on 2 evils. Plus I like their coach.

slightly Notre Dame. Ohio State is far more annoying and successful these days. plus Ryan Day might be the most obnoxious coach in America at the moment while Freeman seems like a really solid dude.

I understand that giant meteor is off the table, but in reviewing X this morning, it still sounds like UAP is in play.

Notre Dame -- I like their coach, QB, and the fact we play them next.

Pulling for Oh St only because it will win me my annual pic em contest with my hs buddies . Other than that would probably pull for ND. I like Freeman's style.

I do think Oh St has better players.

I think of Notre Dame and their NBC deal like the Longhorn Network. Right or wrong that's how I see it. I also think it's cheap that they don't have to play a conference championship and because they are independent, they get the entire pot of gold if they win it all allowing to continue to reinvest in their program.

I just hope both teams have fun.

This will be tolerable as far as the people directly involved.

Would be happy for Ryan Day (he's fired if he loses in the first round)

You say this like Ohio St doesn't have tons of tshirt fans. And so what if they do? Wish we had lots of tshirt fans, it would mean we were good.

Could it go into so many overtimes that they declare it a tie?

I went to a Catholic high school. I grew to despise Notre Dame during those four years. In tenth grade we beat Tim Brown's Notre Dame team in the Cotton Bowl, and I made a guy cry at lunch talking sh** about it on the first day back. I hate them for their entitlement. It's not a "sense of" entitlement. They are entitled. They had their own television network for decades. They're the only school in America that doesn't need a conference. They're smug, irritating, and I hate them.

However, I lived in Ohio for a little over ten months. Watching the Columbus news every night was a surreal experience. An example... The Buckeyes lost to Tennessee in the 1995 Citrus Bowl. A few days later at a bar in Akron, an angry tshirt tOSU fan mouthed off to a reserve linebacker and was beaten within an inch of his life. Channel 10 in Columbus (where Kirk Herbstreit worked) showed the guy in his hospital bed, connected to machines, with the term "ALLEGED VICTIM" under his name. Only a complete moron would mouth off to a football player in a bar, but there was nothing alleged about the guy's injuries.

Star WR Terry Glenn got drunk, stole a car, and drove it through the front yards of a bunch of high dollar houses just west of campus before crashing into a tree. This was a rumor I heard at work from a tOSU donor. No one would would press charges though.

A group of their men's basketball players were arrested breaking into cars on campus. The general "feloneousness" of their athletes put to shame anything I'd seen in Texas. Also, I can't stand Ryan Day.

If it can't end in a tie, I'll go with the Domers.

On Tuesday, I hope to be reading about a 0-0 Tie.
Then after 12~13 OTs ... someone finally made a field goal in the weee hours of the morning.

I don't think that scenario will play out, but I'd be happy if it did.
