Definitely take that as a compliment. In this day and age where the "traditional" way of life is trying to be destroyed by journalists. I, for one, am extremely proud of what our traditions stand for. My wife always said A&M is a cult because she didn't understand it. Now she's getting her masters from A&M and is all in for the traditions as she has experienced them first hand.

My ex wife is a teasip. When they won the natty in '05 we were living in Austin. She wanted to go to campus to celebrate. I begrudgingly went with her and we made our way to the tower which was lit up orange and with the interior lights forming a "1". I saw multiple, MULTIPLE groups of people stand together, face the tower, raise the hook em sign above their heads and sing their railroad song TO the tower. Like it was their GD idol. It was more "culty" than anything I'd ever seen or done at A&M

So basically, **** the sips right in the face.

This. Most schools have their odd traditions, weird ceremonies, or whatever that looks either strange or goofy on the outside. Honestly, if your school's football fandom isn't a little cultish, you're probably doing it wrong anyway.

And hack sports journalists learned a long time ago that baiting Aggies with hit pieces is easy clicks. Ignore it. Don't give those hacks the pleasure.
