Not likely Reed will become expensive. He didn't show me much later in the season. His passing game was lacking as well as his running. I see him easily replaced.

Reed has a ways to go before I would start worrying about NIL. Would love to have that problem but Im not convinced.

He got better during the season. Why wouldn't we expect him to get better during an offseason? Far more improvement to be had there.

The question isn't whether he'll be better. It's to what extent. He needs to improve quite a bit on his reads.

Maybe he will, maybe he won't.

Just about everybody on earth is the type to chase money. If some other school doubles the NIL money we're giving him and we refuse to match, he's gone.

Elko couldn't get his team ready to play an Auburn team that didn't qualify for a bowl game or a 6-6 Trojan team.

The same but different…

I think Reed will work hard to get better.
I think he sees what ELKO has dome to bring in receivers that can get separation.
He sees a stable of good RBs if healthy. He sees an experienced OL returning.

I think he is a good leader. I think he is liked by his teammates.

I like the way he played vs, OSU in the bowl game when thrown in on second play.
Thought he did well vs UF when told he was starting.
Loved how he played vs lsu.
Like how he got us out of the end zone vs Arky late in the game before Moss took over the game.

IMO we scored enough to beat usc, auburn and s.cal and Reed played well enough for those wins.
OUR D lost all those games. Sure he could have played better. We were close to a 10 or 11 win team with
Reed as a red shirt fish.

My guess is Reed will be improved and have a good soph year as the O, if healthy, should be better.
It is our D that worries me, and what causes me to think we may still only win 8 games.
