Texas A&M Players who left an impact on college station

Mike Evans
Have you ever wondered the impact that Mike Evans had with Texas A&M, well here's your lucky chance. Read below how Mike Evans rose from adversity to become a major underrated player in the NFL but also a great fighting Texas Aggie player
Our First player that we will discuss is Mike Evans, Evans who was born in 1993 lived in Galveston Texas. Mike Evans childhood was far from perfect it was reported that his father, Mickey Evens, Died when Mike was just 9 years old and had history abused his wife, Mike Evans used sports to escape his hard life which included Football, Basketball and Track. Coming out of high school Evans was just a three star and got only two offers from Tulsa and Texas A&M. ESPN reported "Evans is a mammoth wide receiver that we feel will likely end up as an H-back or tight end at the next level given his frame and significant room for size development. He may simply grow out of being a wide receiver." In Evans freshman year he was redshirted so he got zero playing time the next season would be a different story. When Johnny Manziel came out of high school he immediately hit the ground running with Evans, Evans recording 1,105 yards with 5 touchdowns while Johnny threw for 3,706 yards with 26 touchdowns and rushed for 1401 yards and 21 touchdowns. That was the year that Manziel won the heisman cementing himself as a legend in college station, but you didn't click on this for Johnny, you did it for Mike and that is what I will give you.
The very next season, Mike Evans caught lightning in a bottle by having 69 receptions 1394 yards and 12 tds. Evans would declare for the draft and that was sort of a bitter sweet because he had one more year of eligibility. At the combine Evans recorded a 4.53 40 a 37 in vertical and 12 reps on the bench. Mike would eventually be drafted by the Buccaneers 7th overall and immediately left his impact, even with inconsistent quarterback play until Brady showed up. During those years in quarterback purgatory, Evans would receive 1000 yards for all of his career.( I know that he hasn't gotten 1000 yards this year but Evans is just 85 yards away from 1000 so assuming he gets it just play along.) Now even though he has had a great career he is underrated by the media often getting forgotten with greats such as Justin Jefferson, Tyreek Hill and others but, he will leave a major impact on the Buccaneers and Aggies on and off the field.
