"Disney, Fox, and Warner Bros. Discovery
have called off plans to launch their sports streaming service, Venu, the companies said in a joint statement Friday.

"After careful consideration, we have collectively agreed to discontinue the Venu Sports joint venture and not launch the streaming service," they said in the statement. "In an ever-changing marketplace, we determined that it was best to meet the evolving demands of sports fans by focusing on existing products and distribution channels. We are proud of the work that has been done on Venu to date and grateful to the Venu staff, whom we will support through this transition period.""

That had already settled, and Dish and DTV said, "Hold up"

Hopefully, the practice of bundling is coming to an end so that distributors like YTTV or Dish can offer just ESPN and/or ESPN2 without being forced to accept Disney, Freeform, and other DIsney/ESPN channels that people don't want.

Those providers don't want to have to pay for those channels, but Disney/ESPN has forced them to in the past and that wasn't going to happen on Venu (thus the lawsuit).

So since the Fubo lawsuit, and the cancelation of Venu, it appears that other streaming services are now able to get some of the ESPN content without the DIsney/family content.

DirecTV and Comcast are both launching Sports or Sports/News bundles that will (almost) get you (most of) your sports.

Promo code price of $50

  • Streamlined channel lineup: Includes popular national sports networks like ESPN, FS1, NFL Network, MLB Network, NBA TV, and NHL Network, along with local channels from ABC, FOX, and NBC in select markets.
  • Future additions: ESPN+ and additional local stations will be included in MySports at no extra cost in the near future.

Comcast is launching a $70 per month "Sports & News TV" streaming bundle featuring live games from the NFL, NBA, NHL, MLB, and NCAA. The package, which marks the latest attempt to build out the sports streaming industry, lets you tune into over 50 news and sports channels, including ABC, CBS, NBC, Fox, ESPN, and CNN.

It also comes with a subscription to Peacock,

Only way to get foisting of Hulu Live TV onto Fubo approved…Disney can't figure out how to make the Hulu Live TV business successful.

I guess I don't understand your point, as Disney now owns 70% of FUBO as of a few weeks ago.
