Elko has basically fired the entire WR group by bringing in the best the portal and HS had to offer.
The WR coach Higgins promoted to Co- OC. That should help Klein or send a message.
Elko also pushed CW and Noah to the portal.

Big moves for year (2) not possible before NIL and the portal program.
Produce or be replaced by Big Mike. Kind of Coach Peak or as Coach Prime says, elevate or terminate.

Increase transfers/portal = "put up or shut up" coach
Don't use transfer/portals = 'Developer" and "loyalty" coach

Not saying which is right, but its great spin and doesn't mean anything. If Coach Prime is an example, I do not want the product he has produced at Colorado. Better, sure. But just as far from a CFP as we are.

Noah was not processed.

Two year starter, in the program three years. For all accounts and purposes a great teammate and player.

Great job getting some solid WRs in the portal. But Elko did not want to lose Noah.

Agree. You can't ask for more money if you're letting passes bounce off your face to close out the season. Not really what you would call negotiating leverage.

Elko known for being honest with players. His telling CW that he has "no future here" makes sense. Elko knows but has hidden the truth about Conner to try not to destroy the kid's future if he per chance still has one. They agreed CW needs to turn the page in life elsewhere, learn from his past and move on anew.
