I've seen it more than just with Noah, but the whole "we're better people than at other schools" praising the choices of guys leaving the program is very tired.

If you don't want to be with us, then you're against us as far as I'm concerned. I could not care less if you are successful where they choose to leave for. Not going to go out of my way to root against them either. I hope they everyone is a successful individual generally...but if them failing helps us I'll certainly root against them.

The amount of Ags on the internet I've seen with comments like "Go shine! Go Dawgs!" is ridiculous.

Trying to look like the better person while other programs whip your azz is incredibly soft.

Here's what I said on the other board.

I don't think we should wish someone ill will, hope they get injured, bash them, or tell them to f*** off on their way out. But I also don't think we need to wish them well. I don't get either mentality, really.

He's literally no different to me than any other player on Georgia's roster. He is now the enemy on the field.

Bingo. You said it better than me. No ill will.

But I don't hope for anyone choosing to leave us to ever have better results elsewhere.

The only exception I'd make is grad transfers looking for playing time. You got your degree and ring at A&M but would like to see the field your final year? I'll watch and hope you do well....unless you're playing us

You generally don't have to hope for this because it seems like they usually do.

That being said, did Noah get his degree and ring? It seems like its more common then not for players to graduate early

We used to be different. Now our game atmosphere is a scripted rap concert like everyone else, and we want more of it.

Noah was pushed out or he got really bad advise.
Being nice or not is meaningless to the transfer and the program.

The only star players that left and benefited.

Kyler Murray - too small for SEC & Sumlin - Dad issues.

The rest made lateral moves of no consequence or fell further behind in becoming a pro.

To me it is meaningless.

It's your right to take as much money as you can, just like it's my right to not "wish you the best of luck". That mentality just shows how weak minded you are

In general, there is a lot of overlap between folks that crap all over our program and folks that overtly support these guys that leave to go elsewhere (either outright wishing well, or at a minimum crapping all over us as a program and pointing to how smart they are for leaving).

Basically, it's just another way to provoke folks that actually support A&M.

I agree with beeradman - I don't wish ill on any of these guys, but I'm also not hoping a guy like Thomas lands at UGA and lights it up. Their fans can support him now.

i think this is one variable that would lend me to at least pull for a guy who is no longer an AG. if he walks out with a degree before leaving he is an AG even if he doesn't play here anymore. just my two cents.

Most actually have not.

Tyree Wilson is few and far between. Most that transfer out end up doing nothing. When you have 20 a year now for most teams, you are always going to hear about the 3-4 that are successful. But then ignore the guys that end up at New Mexico or back ups for an 8-5 team and never hear about again. Nolen was great here and at Ole Miss. Stewart was the same here as Oregon. Most are the same as they left here and many are never heard from again.

I'd say our hit rate was pretty good and our portal class saved us from a 6-6 type season. Maybe worse.

We took 25 transfers. 19 played meaningful minutes and 14 different ones started. Of those 25, we still have 9 left on campus and 5-7 are expected to start next year. Of the 12 we picked up this year, I'd bet another 4-5 start. So basically, of your 22 starting positions, I'm guessing 10-11 of them are from our last two transfer classes.

Now, are they 1st round picks? No. But I could see several in the NFL in 2026. Lee, Scooby, Reed-Adams, Howell, Concepcion, all have good chances and even Ricks (in 2 years), Humphrey, Hudson in 2 years, Craver in 2 years, etc., all have chances, too. I think our hit rate will prove to be pretty solid, but yes, many were fillers that weren't really NFL prospects. So I get that. You aren't going to have 25 transfers and 15 make the NFL.

But my point with my post is that of the 20 guys that have left this year, about 17-18 were mutual and really only 2-3 that we'd even want back. In fact, Noah is the only guy I KNOW we tried to get back, no matter how many times people mention Shanahan, or Sylla, or Dewberry. Those guys may or may not even be allowed back. My guess is Noah, and maybe 1-2 more end up good/great players that we wish we'd have kept.

What's your opinion on throwing a tantrum and wishing for someone to fail when they leave. I see more of that honestly.

An adult would wish someone well and then not worry or think about that person's success or failure. Personally I'm happy that Haynes King is having success somewhere else. I would be happy for Weigman to succeed. Just because it didn't work out here doesn't mean they are bad people who can't be successful somewhere else.

I can get behind the support for guys who it just didn't work out for. You weren't playing, weren't going to play, and wanted to enjoy the last few years you have of organized football. Go do it. I hope those guys find a smaller school and thrive.

But for starters leaving? Don't care. You're quitting on the team. If you got a bigger pay day somewhere else, then do your thing, but I don't really care what happens at your next stop and I hope you have the worst game of your career if/when we play you.

Was about to post this. Hired guns. I am not loyal to them in any way just because they were once on our team. I don't wish them success nor failure. They are getting paid just like an employee. Before I went into business for myself and worked for a large company, when someone left for another company, it didn't matter. Someone else came in to do the job, I didn't follow the career of those that left.

Your last statement..."the only exception.."....I just can't get Caden Davis out of my mind in terms of some ill-will. I took pleasure in him missing field goals this year.

I agree too many softies on here. It's like they are in love with some of the players and have to follow their career no matter where that takes them.

I aint gonna lie....I got a chuckle with Evan Stewart not making a single catch in the Big 10 championship game. And then he is not on the injury report but decides not to play against OSU in the playoffs.

Not wishing anyone to get injured but some players have a history of giving up quickly and that doesn't change when their jersey changes.

When Noah arrived he was a tall, skinny project. A&M made him into something better and he packed up and left for probably more NIL. It's college football 2025.
