Highly unlikely we go for another QB in the portal but Georgias Rashada has entered. I feel like would be better than nothing! I'm concerned about our QB depth no doubt and there are still some viable options in the portal. Still impressed with our overall portal haul no matter what else we add.

I agree he has definitely caused some fuss over cfb but with the loss of Henderson I'm concerned. I have some faith in Zeno but Rashada would at least add some competition. I'm hoping O'Neil shines in the offseason.

Really who is left in the portal that says they would add to the completion? Does Zeno? I mean he's had some injuries that have caused him playing time but he's a little better than Henderson was coming in. Anything would add to this QB room now since we lost Longstreet to frickin Lincoln…

This guy will play on Sundays. Dude is a winner and a leader. Appears Iowa is the only large D1 giving him a good look at the moment. Of course, they saw him up close and personal in 2022 and SDSU lost in Ames, 3 to 7. He may just be the offensive key that has been elusive for the Hawkeyes. He'd be great in Maroon & White.

Honestly I think it's crazy to think we don't need help in our QB room. After Marcel it's a massive drop off and we have to hope with the incoming help at receiver that Marcel progresses a good amount before next year.

I'd absolutely take that. I love an underdog story and his stats don't lie. Like I say I doubt we do take another QB but I will keep an eye on him wherever he goes but would love to see him here.

You play only one QB. Just making sure you knew bc of the posts you are making on this thread.

Also

Marcel is our first QB to play more than half a season and not get hurt since Mond. So he's shown he's durable.

King, Max and Weigman all were injured every season they played for us so all three were injury prone.

We have 5 scholarship QBs going into spring.

Literally no college team in the country will have 6 going into the spring. 99% won't have 5.

It would be nice to have a qb make it thru a whole season.

I'm actually a big fan of Reed and trust he can make the leap this year, but still would keep my eye on Austin Novosad if he were to enter out of Oregon after spring ball. He and Dante Moore are expected to have a pretty tight competition for the job and he has impressed them since arriving on campus.

I don't think QB is currently a position of need numbers wise, but if you can bring in someone willing to push Reed in the fall, I think he and the program would be better off for it, even if that would push Zeno away. Feels like the Zeno move is more about breaking into the coaching ranks for him while getting one last chance if an injury occurs.

Getting no QBs would indeed be better than getting Rashada. He adds nothing.

I really would love to see more of O'Neil next season. Not at the expense of Reed, but excited to see what he can do hopefully in late game scenarios.
