That's incredible. He has to be a first round ballot HOFer. Another couple of years and he'll be top 10 all time in receiving yards. Another 3-4 and he's easily top 5 or top 3.

So if he gets 1,000 yards next season. Is he at 1 by himself?

For consecutive seasons, yes. Jerry Rice had 14 1k yard seasons overall. He's at #1 overall for consecutive seasons to start a career though.

Kind of incredible considering he's been questionable with a hamstring since the day he made it to the league

Take it easy folks. Jerry Rice is the GOAT. Mike would have to have another 10 seasons of 1000+ yards to catch him.

Proud to say that one of the greatest receivers of all time, if he doesn't prove in the future to be the best, went to not one of but both schools I graduated from. Galveston Ball and MFing Texas A&M! Whoop!

He isn't going to take over the top spot in any category, but this is where Mike ranks currently.

Receiving Yards:
Mike Evans (12,684) is 24th all time. He's 2,524 yards from 5th all time

Receiving TDs:
Mike Evans (105 TDs) is 9th all time. He needs 23 Tds to break into the top 5.

He's 31. If he plays another 3-4 years, I could definitely see him getting up there

Loved that video! Thanks to whoever posted it.

From everything I have seen, he is great on and off the field.

Well-deserved. So cool that the coaches, QB and team took the extra effort to keep his streak going at the end of the fi al game. Would love to see Evans and his team have playoff success this year!

Jerry Rice is 5,403 yards ahead of 2nd place Larry Fitzgerald - amazing!!

However, if you look at receiving yds/gm, Jerry is 12th all time. Mike Evans is 13th (tied with Lance Alworth). Top 2 are Justin Jefferson and Ja'Marr Chase - although very early in their careers. Was 2019 LSU maybe the best offensive team ever in college football? Larry Fitzgerald is #42 on yds/gm list.

He'll for sure be in the HOF, but probably not on the first ballot. If he has another 2-3 years of high level play, then maybe. Still a few WRs ahead of him that didn't make it in on the first ballot.

After the Spring game, before his last season with the Aggies, Mike took the time to visit with my 12 year old daughter and give her a signature. He could have raced off to do whatever he wanted to do after practice, but he gave his personal time up to visit with his number one fan then and still today.

She's a young woman now at the top of her class. She is going to have an amazing medical career despite many personal challenges and being part of the generation whose undergrad best laid paths were interrupted by the Covid mess.

There are moments that helped define and drive her to become the person she will be. We did our best to support her, but young people need to work towards success largely on their own. The photo of that moment with her and Mike sits on my bookshelf next to her childhood pics, graduation photos and now her wedding photo. She is so happy and proud in all of the photos. (Well, maybe in the baby photo she looks more confused than proud).

When I see Mike Evans achieve his goals, I'm so happy for him as a fellow Aggie. But mostly, I'm grateful he took the time to have a conversation with a young fan and ask her what she wanted to become and encourage her to go do it!

Stud. I wish I was half the man. The adversity he has overcome is inspirational. Dude was talking about 2K next year while celebrating. Focused, determined, and a leader of men.

Receiving Yards:

He had 1,004 this season. He averages 1,153 a year.

(3) 842 yards seasons
or
(4) 631 yard seasons. If he stays healthy (and has the drive), he could go even higher on the list quite easily.

Receiving TDs:
Mike Evans (105 TDs) is 9th all time. He needs 23 Tds to break into the top 5.

He had 11 this year. Averages 9.5 a year.

That's doable for another 2 great seasons.

Or

(3) seasons of his average would put him at 133 TDs and 4th overall

He's 31. If he plays another 3-4 years, I could definitely see him getting up there

3 more years averaging his 75 receptions would get him top 5 as well.
