Texas got a boost in recruiting because it was known they were headed to the SEC.

By that mark, the only Big 12 team that was ever in the playoffs at all was a Pac 12 team last year...

he failed to mention that sip is there by playing a Big 12 version of an SEC schedule and getting gifted a playoff path that included a team that shouldn't have even been there (that gave them a better game than a good team would have allowed), and a team that was left for dead a year ago, won a goofy mess of a conference, got a bye they shouldn't have, and would have beaten sip if not for their regular help from the zebras.

I guess that would have exceeded his allowable characters for posting on X

This argument isn't available when we were on their schedule and they dominated us. We didn't even score an offensive point. You just look petty and bitter. Yeah, they maybe should have lost in the playoff if targeting was called, although that's still not a certainty. But saying a 12-2 team that (1) destroyed us when we played, (2) beat all of our common opponents by wider margins than we did, (3) took Georgia to overtime in the SEC championship, and (4) made the playoff, is somehow not a "good team" is just outright stupidity. Stop. Get help.

Cue the "Thou shalt not covet thy neighbors conference" banner.

He forgot to add...they were given a Red Carpet Pass the whole way, but still couldn't beat GA...and still can't. Hell, they were almost eliminated by a tier II outfit and probably would have if the Ref's were fair.

It mainly helped with players like Justus Terry, A. Winston, N. Brooks, Zelius Hicks, etc, all Georgia high school players unlikely to come to a Big 12 Texas. same for some Florida and Louisiana players.

Take a deep breath sip fan. I never said they weren't a good team. They are. With that said, they have benefitted greatly from a weak schedule (that we were definitely part of) and a favorable spot in the playoff (to this point). If you can see or admit that, I don't know what to tell you.
