Given how the postseason has played out, there's no denying that the Big10 is currently the best conference. Big10 #3 OSU blew out SEC #3 Tenn. SEC #1 UGA lost their first game, and only Texas remains. Ohio State v Texas will be telling. Middle of the pack Big10 teams have beat middle of the pack SEC teams (USC v A&M, Mich vs Alabama, Illinois v SCar).

The Big 10 is great at setting up playoff brackets.

Big 10 was top heavy and Ohio State got a favorable matchup at home. Penn State got to beat a team that didn't beat a single relevant team all year. Indiana was an absolute joke, and the rest of the Big 10 was total trash.

SEC's dominant team had a down year and still made the playoffs, and then lost having to play without their starting QB. Tennessee never should have been in, but both us and Alabama crapped the bed in glorious fashion.

Oregon is not a playoff team had they played an SEC schedule. Neither is Penn State. They get to play schedules where half the teams are fighting for 5-6 wins and dont have talent in the trenches to even test them. SEC has talent league wide and even the bad teams grind you down over the course of the season.

The SEC is easily the premiere league. But being fresh after a schedule of creampuffs can reward more results late in the season like it has for the Big 10.

Big10 #3 took Big10 #1 behind the woodshed.
Big10 #2 doesn't scare anyone.
Big10 seeding is bull*****

Match up the conferences from #1 thru #12-ish and try again

Idk, I can't really agree to the "bulk of the Big10 is trash" argument when their middle teams beat middle SEC teams. A&M, Alabama, Scar were all top half SEC teams and all lost to "middle" Big10 teams.

The Big 10 has as good or better teams than the SEC at the top (this year), but the SEC is way deeper with talented teams that can beat each other in any given week. The SEC has had the most NFL draft picks every year for 18 years. That's all you need to know.

3 titles in 24 years. I guess that's a yes.

By the way how many starters does OSU and ND have from their own state?

Yeah, ignore all the head to head matchups the big ten took this year. What really counts is the cumulative draft picks each conference has.

UGA would have won if Beck had played. Having to play a true freshman at QB in a playoff game isn't exactly ideal.

I tell you one thing: the SEC is undefeated in hypothetical matchups where the seeding was different or they didn't have any injuries or they weren't too tired from all their other SEC games. That's an impressive stat.

I read on here that Indiana was a 4 win team with an SEC schedule. Nevermind that tbe 2nd worst Big Ten team Indiana played (Maryland) smoked Auburn earlier this season. Auburn must have still been worn out from last year's SEC schedule.

Despite all the excuse making for the SEC, the B10 is at least equal to the SEC this year and will likely widen the gap in years to come. The SEC has very poor leadership that gets out maneuvered on a daily basis.

It's ok to say SEC FB was down this year because it was

And T&P to Ohio State as sip will be allowed to target, hold and horse collar all day against OSU to try and get a SEC team into the CG

Right. Because all the players that played the full season were identical to those that played the afterthought bowl game.

You might want to see how they finish. OSU looks unstoppable. PSU was pretty much gift wrapped a dream path

All the comments about past 18 year draft picks and NC are just that….the past. SEC needs to get it together in the present. Better coaching. More discipline. On the field leadership. Experienced QB play. Gotta have it. Can't just rely on having freak athletes if they aren't coached up in this new landscape where BIG teams are loading up on other people's talent in the portal and have established coaching staffs in place.

Agree on PSU. But since Georgia QB out I would also argue ND gift wrapped a dream path too.

NIL and Transfer Portal rules have definitely weakened the SEC. If you compare the depth from years past, you'll see a big difference/drop off in talent.

I wish these P4 conferences would match up during the regular season. Even if it was a randomized matchup each year.

But we got to protect the record inflating contract games.

Big10 is likely better at the top this year. It is also likely going to be one of those years where you look back and think about this as a weird year (like 2007). The top end talent is really poor across CFB which is why this is expected to be a bad draft class.

sec and BIG were always the two best conferences. the sec has been far and away the best for the last 15 years. with realignments it is now pretty even. i think sec will be better than BIG more years than not but it will be closer than it used to be.

The entire IF a BIG 10 team played a SEC schedule they would be terrible argument is so stupid. Oregon's schedule right there with both Tennessee and Missouri. We would get our A** kicked regardless of conference.

Oh, the Big 10 could have the edge this year. That doesn't make it a better conference. The SEC's record going back 15 years speaks for itself. It's easily the best conference with the best players and the best teams.
