He'll be on the hot seat for a while then. I think his buyout rivals Fisher's. Their AD may be as dumb as ours when he made that hire.

The Irish are more physical under Freeman. LSU seems less physical than in years past.

Kelly lost a lot of support and raised a lot of questions after that cringe-ass recruiting video he made with the recruit.

Marcus Freeman is an Ohio State alum. If Ryan Day ever gets fired or leaves, he'll be the obvious replacement

At ND he became the winningest coach in program history with a 113-40 record, surpassing Knute Rockne's previous record.

At LSU he won 10 games in his first 2 years. This year he went 7-5.

When people talk about cultural flaws, Fisher's contract personifies the biggest cultural flaw…that Texas A&M, with its swanky facilities, resources and recruiting grounds, has to drop its pants to hire a good coach. We send the most negative signal possible when we give a coach guaranteed money for that long regardless of performance. Then extend it at the first sign of success!

Unfortunately this has become a tradition at A&M. The first season a coach wins 8 games and we give him a contract extension because we are afraid someone else will want an average coach. I don't know if it is the BMAs that are making these decisions or the AD. One would hope that an AD would base these decisions on some level of performance. Starting to think the BMAs are all related to Jerry Jones.

BK signed a very similar contract to Jimbo's first one, 10 years $100 million guaranteed. If BK is on the hot seat going into 2026 that will be his 5th year so $50 million owed (which corn dog probably can't afford)

The problem with Jimbo wasn't his first contract, if we had fired him from his first contract after 2023 that would have been year 6 and only owe him about $40 million. The dumb part is the extension he got in 2021 because of a successful Covid season and then two years later firing him with almost $80 million owed

And yet they might win a championship. That's why the playoff is necessary

If they beat penn state and then Ohio State/Texas they deserve it

Yet Knute Rockne, Frank Leahy, Ara Parseghian, Dan Devine and Lou Holtz all won National Championships at ND and he didn't.

I'm pretty sure they went 9-4. Not 7-5

And Kelly took over a **** show and I believe they're 4th in the country in wins over the last 3 years. 10 wins , 10 wins and 9 wins in his first 3 years. Killing it in recruiting and portal as another poster said.

I hope Elko can be as much of a fraud.
