Our mood is so low that even our troll threads are losing steam.

Amazing after all these years some posters simply can't accept who we are. It is going to take a lot more than a dream and some time to get us to be contenders for a title. May even take an AD who can stand up to our Jerry Jones type BMAs. Right now, we look destined to be a 8-10 win team every year.

A&M is one of the richest and largest schools around, in one of the best TV markets. But you're saying that the "powers that be" are fine letting small private universities like Notre Dame or USC win it all, or poorer rural schools in the middle of nowhere like OU and Nebraska to win it all, or schools like Miami who seemingly only have about 500 total fans win it all, or glorified community colleges with no history like Florida State win it all, but somehow A&M is the one pushed into a locker and has its lunch money stolen. This has got to be the most self-loathing fanbase I've ever seen.

You're not taking into account the politics that take place behind the scenes. The buffoons that make up our BMA's don't have the pull or influence that the "blue bloods" you mentioned do. If we had any sway or political know how we would've never let sip even begin conversations with the SEC, but our guys don't have any foresight and are too busy playing nice.

I appreciate OP trying to get us out of the "next year will be better" rut. Jump straight to "two years from now will be better". Do I hear five years? Ten years? 85 years?
