Money wise, yes, very successful.

ASU whipped Texas and was robbed. So actual football wise. Not so much. SEC is actually 1-2 at this time without corruption and the only real win being a 5 seed at home Vs a 12 seed.

I never subscribed to conference "pride" per se because it always felt stupid to cheer for the schools that beat us while we were failing to win anything meaningful, but I did not actively root against any of them initially. I started actively rooting against Alabama in every game around 2019.

But ever since 2022, yeah…..**** all of them, except whoever is playing the sips.

I can understand using conference allegiance as a tiebreaker when you otherwise don't care about a game. But Using "we" in this context makes you a clown

Beebe offered Texas, OU, and us $20 million to keep the conference together and not only didn't deliver it but Texas and OU went out other way to demean us for asking it to be paid.

Our athletic supporters truly hurt our school by not paying enough for facilities during RC's tenure. The academic side loaned the athletic side $16 million that the athletic side, TMF, and boosters hoped would be forgotten and forgiven.

This loan was prior to our move to the SEC and wasn't paid off in full as far as i am aware prior to the move.

After we left the Big 12 evenly distributed Tier 1 (Over the air) and Tier 2 (cable) revenue but left every school for themselves. Texas generated around 10 million in the first year of Tier 3 revenue with the LHN but gave several million to their academic side. All while Dodds was leading a black ball on continuing rivalry games and Kim Mulkey was accusing us of wanting to sleep with our exes. Note Mulkey joined LSU and Texas did, too, to get to play us more!!! OU, too!

Today we are better funded for athletics than ever but we still make unconscionably stupid decisions while taking down the most media revenue we ever touched. But we are being run over by schools probably spending more (Bama isn't in that group.). Do we know how much more? Nope. Impossible to get clarity on that spend.

Should we leave the SEC? Not unless you can get in the Big Ten. They arguably have better revenue deal but the SEC has better distribution for it have of Al it all home events that the school chooses to produce. You have literally never had it better (though if you only care about football then you probably don't care about the other sports like especially baseball.)

I reject the "We Are The SEC" because the SEC has never acted in the best interest of TX A&M, and broke a clear verbal commitment of exclusivity in Texas.
