They lost to Texas Tech and Cincy, and beat Texas State by field goal. They eeked out quite a few single digit victories against crappy Big-12 teams.

You know with a targeting call it's possible they got into field-goal range. It's possible they didn't.

They made some dumb calls earlier, not going for the field goals and even the first overtime. They should've been able to stop them, but Arizona State did play them well.
To be fair, he threw in a Fork 'em after a big ASU play

Why do you find it odd? He is the backup. If this was a blowout and he didn't get any minutes, that might mean something. The game was 24-8 with about 1/2 of the 4th Quarter over, but that isn't exactly a blow-out and it got closer from there.

That entire game was given to tu. The egregious no-call on the targeting is absolutely absurd. The WR was defenseless and hit in the head, no if's and's or but's about it. Cheating mother ****ers and you "youngs" wanted the rivalry back. Congrats!!!!

After Texas led Arizona State 24-8 with 10:17 left, Arizona State scored 16 unanswered points in just 1:31 to tie the game at 24 with 5:00 remaining but fell short 39-31 in two overtimes. As a result, Texas has advanced to the CFP Semifinals against the winner of the Ohio State vs Oregon in the Cotton Bowl. I noticed several other trends.

1. Texas has improved to 2-0 in the CFP.

2. Texas has improved to 13-2 (7-1 SEC), which is their highest win total in school history (previously 13-0 in 2005 and 13-1 in 2009).

3. Texas snapped Arizona State's 6-game winning streak to drop them to 11-3 (7-2 Big 12)

Doesn't have to lead with his helmet to be deemed targeting. Not sure why this is so hard.

Crown doesn't matter in that situation. "Forceable contact to the head or neck area of a defenseless player." It ticked both boxes.
