I heard Nuno use this term on the latest Loochador podcast. Excellent terminology for understanding TexAgs.
As I understand the term, fanalysts examine a sporting event with a decidedly optimistic viewpoint of one team.
Not analysis which denotes critical assessment without bias.
Nothing is wrong with being a fanalyst, it's just the first time I heard it and it clicked for me.

Disbanding the program might be a bit of an overreaction. Before doing so, we should first drop down into a weaker conference, one in which we could be more competitive.

They are Aggie football fans. Pessimism seems like high football iq when watching these teams.

You're correct, as there are 2 types of fans. fair weather fans, and true fans.

You described fair weather fans with two attributes.

In the 4th quarter against LSU in 2018 my Wife & I watched as tons of fair weather "aggies" or "texags types" exited the stands. We stayed, and I told Her we aren't fair weather fans.

I was rewarded with multiple heart palpitations, and probably the most exciting win I've witnessed at Kyle Field.

Yup. They're losers, with a losers mentality.

Imagine if you're running a race, you fall over yourself, and 1 group of people is yelling insults at you, and another is cheering you on to get up & keep fighting.

You manage to make your way to the head of the pack & win...

Which group are you going to celebrate with, and which should be turned away with a fat middle finger? It's an easy choice. The fair weather complainers have no business celebrating the win, because they weren't fans to begin with; they're opportunists that hang around for their own reasons, not for the team. Sip has allot of those.
