Texags won't like it, but we do need give it time at the very least. Elko will be here 4 years minimum unless he goes 4-8, which won't happen.

The issue is, you can't just blindly keep a guy. you have to cut ties when/if A) the coach is either too stubborn or incapable to fix the present issues and the same issues persist multiple years in a row, and/or B) recruiting just can't get over the hump.

A head coach that can/will adapt and still shows the ability to bring in championship talent should continue to be employed. Though in the nil world, I think the program is what has to bring in talent regardless of head coach

We always do tuna on toast.

Just remember salmon is the opposite of tuna because salmon swim against the current while tuna swim with it.

We gave Sumlin and Jimbo 6 years each. That seems fair to me. Both regressed and were clearly stagnating by the time they were fired.

Do what we did when we hired Jackie. And bring back the 12th man kickoff team while you are at it.

LOL, when Costanza decided to start behaving in the opposite direction of his natural instincts, his life improved.

How long? We've kept coaches 4, 5, 6 years. The Cowboys kept Garrett for ten years. I'm happy to kill 4-5 more years winning 7-9 games. It really frees up my hunting weekends when I don't have to worry about accomplishing much.

I like Elko and think he is a solid coach. I think he should not be on a hot seat. I think the ******s calling him Elmo are a joke. However, if we win 10 games next year I don't want to extend him. That was the huge mistake we made with Sumlin & Jimbo. We love to overreact, good or bad season.

And that's the problem. We fired them too soon. We should give them 12 years since we are the home of the 12th man.

No. I said stick with them as I do not fire them. If you win a natty, okay redo the contract. Otherwise, if a coach wants to leave…bye. Our loyalty a decent salary and a tolerant fan base should be all we need to have a coach grow into something special.

Grow our own. That's the only approach we haven't tried.
