Record the game.
Step 2.
Go play golf.
Step 3.
Enjoy a wonderful day and check the score at the end of the day.
Step 4.
Only watch the last four minutes of the game from a recording.


Result? You have a great day and see the only parts of Aggie football that matter. The end score.


It works great unless you get duped into watching because it's too late to do something else.

Or just watch but don't get overly emotionally invested. It's just a game and if it upsets you that much then maybe re-evaluate your priorities in life.

And I say that as a person who has had to do exactly what OP suggested. I don't golf, but I do find other things that make me happy, check the score and it doesn't bother me at all when we lose. If I watch the game, I'm pissed the entire time

BINGO. The game costs me nothing. It changes nothing in my life regardless of whether we win or lose. Even my t-sip buddies on their 40's don't discuss football anymore. At some point, you tend to place a greater value on other things. I'd love to win a football game but if we don't, I still wake up Sunday morning and go about my business.
