Elko is being paid millions to coach football. This includes making the hard decision to fire your DC who is responsible for the product that led to those comments.

Bateman started the collapse and he ended the season with an epic disaster of one that we all saw coming.

We will not win with Bateman next season. We've seen this song and dance. There's no reason to delay the inevitable after another wasted year of football. This is how you create the culture of accountability, by holding the coaches accountable first.

Stack up those buyouts until you can't see the top!!!

Contracts should include rewards for success and penalties for failure. The difficult part is the definition of each. And 5 years max. The so called coaches are bending the schools over. There are a lot of young coaches out there. Try them until you get a keeper, then reward them big. Spend the money on players.

You have to exceed their current contract and security.

Well we have the rewards in place for any success Elko might see while here. And his contract only has 5 more years on it now. And technically he's a younger HC with a young OC. Not making a bonus is the penalty, we couldn't be the only ones to have a penalty clause in the contract.

We're not getting bent over by Elko yet. Jimbo still has that honor for the next 6 years.

Paying Elko the same as Jimbo started at give or take. First year wasn't all that great.
