...a transfer db from georgia and some true fish are going to magically transform the awful pass defense elko highlighted in his post-game presser (while losing two dl projected to go in the top 10?)

Well, Charlie Brown believed Lucy Van Pelt wasn't going to pull the ball away when he ran up to kick it. But she did, time after time, year after year. He never learned. Sort of like Aggie football.

Chappell will be back too. We basically add 2 new DBs.

Not sure why people keep making reference to Chappell coming back like he's some great defensive back.
In 3 years as a STARTER, he had 2 int's. Doesn't exactly scream lock down. And he got burned as much as anyone.
We sure do have short memories around here.

I don't remember him getting burned very much. He was one of our best coverage guys and was rarely thrown at. Can you post some clips of him getting burned?

Corner Tyreek Chappell was the Aggies' most consistent deep defender, holding up well in man coverage down the field to the use of his hands, recovery speed, and underthrown balls. Unfortunately he's gone to the portal.

Chapell was a three-star prospect (according to 247Sports' composite) in the 2021 recruiting class and was thrust into the starting lineup last season due to injuries to the backend unit. As a result, he's arguably become the Aggies' best coverage corner while logging coverage grades of 69.8 and 73.2 in the last two years.
